Light and Dark showed up today
2 new Shrines
2 new Markers
2 new Harvest Plantings
2 new Sculptures
They added a place for the new Dark / Light Skylanders figures.

3 new villains Golden Queen, Rage Mage, Chompy Mage

I've seen that update before the first post. I like the new elements, but there's one question for myself: when do Villains appear in my kingdom? Where do they go? Where they're up to? There is no sign of invasion for at least a week – up to this date.

Also, I bet at least one of three of the new Villains would try to invade mine, albeit Golden Queen; Rage Mage or Chompy Mage. It should be here within this week, but the chances are highstaken.

I like having 12 & 22 hour crops! This is an interesting addition, but how about the TT variants like dark, nitro & legendary?

And the toy link characters are

I had Gearshift, so that help buy 1/2 of a new Shrines for the 5 day quest.

Without Arbo they are 12h (light) and 22h (dark).

12h for the sun thing, 22h for Lunara.
Really don't like the names for the plants or their visibly rushed appearance(at least the rest were lifted from Universe), but darn if those new elemental decorations aren't beautiful. Almost make me want to waste my Hallows' Eve Hex fund for a Dark Shrine in all of its crystaly glory, but I'll be happy with just a few Dark Sculptures while the island doesn't show up.

(now, if they give me two months after december to get the Dark Island timed quests going; it'll take a sad while until I can order the Dark expansion from abroad for a nice price and even more for it to get here)

I am glad we have new shrine options as I am about to cap out on the other elements but its way too close to christmas to toss me gems away like that .

i checked the app-store and skylanders lost islands all day and i didn't get the update

I wonder if the light and dark Skylanders have been programmed in. Knowing that Knight Light and Knight Mare will be released in the coming week, they probably added the elements to the Skylanders menu just for that reason.

I wonder if we will get two more Islands with sanctuaries in the future . We could all use more real estate .

It would seem unbalance not to have sanctuaries for light/dark, but since there won't be that many Skylanders for them, I'm kind of doubting it. Aren't we only getting one trap master and one core for each element? You couldn't fill all 3 spots in the sanctuary, or even if you just had one spot, you would be using your only Skylanders available for those elements (especially if you want to keep the trap master free for villains). Maybe they will release something else for them to do in lieu of a sanctuary.

Knight Light and Knight Mare are available in Europe now, I've seen a few videos of the Light and Dark expansions in German.

Not currently planning to bother with the light and dark shrines unless they go on sale this weekend, that's a steep gem cost for very minimal reward.

You actually get 3 statues as a price. That's still not a huge prize, but just to let you know that it's not just one.

was lucky this AM and got Broccoli guy. Was able to make 15m Energy before I ran out of coins. was able to do both quest 7secs each.
3 statues is a real bummer for 300Gems. Wish I had more coins.

With the new crops you can plant, it will make Hugo more useful.
It will take 22h for Lunara so you will need to know if it is the element of the next day for the bonus.
Also unless they add something the will take a lot more energy to use, Ol' Mac is now even more useless. I have more than enough energy to fill all sanctuaries and send all skylanders on 22h trips. This was after just completing the new Light / Dark quests.
Maybe I am wrong. Still only been playing for 1/2 year. Others understand this game a lot more.

We had 1400 gems and decided to snag one--first collection was 150 gems. So we bought the second one...same deal. I can't guarantee it will always be that way, but it was worth the effort for us

Of course they'll have an alter ego for each element giving you three to fill each sanctuary.

You got gems for the shrines? All I got was the regular 1,000 gold payouts!

hubby said something about getting the gems. He did it with the kids while I was upstairs.
Holiday party meant he was kid wrangling while I was primping

Nice! I certainly didn't get any gem rewards for buying the shrines. I maxed out 3 of each and am getting the expected gold every hour.

I bet the gem reward came from toy linking Gearshift, which happens automatically...

yes the 150 Gems is from linking Gearshift
