I'm new to skylanders. My first game was trap team and I fell in love. I picked up SSF for just $25 the other day.
I think I like ssf a lot more than stt... the levels seem a lot bigger and there are more rpg style elements.
So hey every1
Also, any1 know a good place to buy swap force guys? Can't find any in stores.

the skylanders game works like this. game being released and you will be able to buy the 3 first waves of figures easy. then wave 4 & 5 will be pure luck finding in random stores (most stores have left over stock from earlier waves and dont bother taking the new. people have gotten tired of the game and aint buying, except for the collectors). then next year there is a new game and the older figures is mostly gone from the shops, from then on internet are your only hope to get older figures from earlier games...

I recommend not getting them from amazon. Amazon adds like 5-7 dollars of shipping and tax. Maybe ebay, but Walmart is the most reliable and best and cheapest in my opinion, if they still sell swappers

As far as searching for skylanders on the inter webs; amazon isn't that bad if you have prime. Other than that I would keep your eyes out on ebay. Lots of good deals. Target and Walmart still have a pretty decent stock of SSF.

Australia does not have Wal-Mart.
I found many old core characters at my Big W, but swappable Skylanders are few and far between. I seem to find the most at my Target.

Look in any used game stores that you can find. They tend to have some from Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Spyro's Adventure for cheep... WITHOUT SHIPPING! (You'll need a Giant to open certain types of chests.) (Also characters from the first game (green base) works in ALL of the games they just won't have Wow Pows.)

honestly....
I would check Walmart/Toys R Us/Best Buy. If you cant find it their. Go on Ebay. Ignore Buy Nows. And go for Auctions/Bids. =P and get them at 1/2 of cost. But certain ones like "Fire Bone Hot Dog/Scratch/Magna Charge" is a examples that you might have to open your wallet for. If you dont get lucky with "Auctions". Cause they tend to get expansive...

Scratch and Magna Charge are pretty hard to find, so if you can find one for a good price, go for it, they're pretty good characters.

When you hunt online, check during off hours... Sometimes big box stores have stock available while people are sleeping and there is less online traffic. Even on ebay, there are auctions that end or buy nows listed durring off hours. Don't rule out any search options, just try different things. Spelling is not always right and sometimes things like Lightcore or Series are not known by the seller. Hope this is helpful.

Do you have gamestop in Aus? Or EB Games or any store like that that would carry used toys. My Gamestop has a tone of used Skylanders! I just saw Freeze Blade today, would have grabbed him, but I am a minimalist and have all the swappers I need.

Try Walmart.com, they sell Preowned Skylanders, prices are decent. Comparable to Gamestop or less.
