I love the minis, don't get me wrong. I even loved when they didn't do anything in the games.

Making them work in trap team was wonderful. They tend to be my go to characters at the moment. The only problem I have is the choices for the minis.

They rereleased the original 8, and sure that's wonderful because not everyone had a chance to get their hands on them the first time. My issue is with the new 8.

Bop is cute, Hijinx is probably one of my favourites, and small fry is pretty awesome. But I wish they had more followed previous suit. I wish they had released 4 minis that were of the swappers and 4 minis of the trap team. I know it might have frustrated some people that the mini swappers couldn't swap, and it may be weird having mini trap teams that, potentially, couldn't destroy trap tanium. But the giants side kicks can't pick up boulders like the giants.

I don't know, i just find it annoying that in the 4th game were getting minis from the first game

Small Fry is from the 3rd game .

Small Fry as a mini is lessened by the fact that Fryno got a repose this game too.

I think Spry was a necessary choice for a mini, but Weeruptor, Breeze, Bop, Hijinx, Pet Vac and Drobit were wrong choices. I personally would have preferred Mini's of any previous 'gimmick' characters, since they're the ones that will never be reposed. A mini Swarm, Hot Head, Boom Jet, Doom Stone, Rattle Shake and Spy Rise would have been far more welcome in my opinion.

I personally don't mind that much the current minis, most of them is pretty cute to me. But that's a good point about the gimmicks, I was very excited to be able to try out both paths for some of the giants, it's more fun than having a charachter I already have like twice...

Thanks...you just gave Activision some ideas for minis for the next Skylanders game. I'm sure they'll bring the minis back unless they get too many complaints about them or very poor sales. Each mini probably costs them a quarter to produce.

I don't think mini Trap Master would be good, the minis are kinda supposed to "replace" reposes in STT.

I don't care if they do or not. But with my toys, it's my make believe and the mini's have got the gears in my head turning.

Perhaps they're from an alternate dimension where everything is smaller, and cuter, if spooky guys like Enigma, or Star Strike can slip through, or there's crazy backwards worlds (Still haven't played Mirror of Mystery, soon, I hope, if not for the collectibles), why not chibi worlds?

I was wondering about the mini's canon so I looked them up.

"Within the Skylands, a realm of infinite possibilities, there is in fact an alternate reality known as the Skylands Miniverse. Everything there is smaller, including the Skylanders. The Skylanders Sidekicks come from that Miniverse and have traveled to the Skylands to meet their regular-sized alter egos and tag along with them on adventures."

"The Skylander Minis started off as regular "Sidekicks," assisting the Skylanders on many exciting adventures. And what they lacked in size they more than made up for in courage. Ultimately determined to become full-fledged heroes, they trained at the Skylands Academy - honing their powers and skills until they were ready. Now, they stand side by side with their full grown counterparts, ready to defend Skylands against Kaos and his evil minions."

In the comic book, they are depicted as uncontrollable kindergartners going to their first day of Skylanders University. More like offspring than alternate universe characters. It makes me wonder how their universe is like, probably a real mad house of constant cute and hyperactivity with little consequences for their actions. It was really strange seeing Hijinx (Hex) being as perky and out of control as Trigger Happy.

i suggest everyone get the spy mini and dont buy the others so we give a clear message to activision/tfb... we love spyro and want a new spyro game but dont like the minis.

The Minis are featured in the three Skylander comics "Forgetting Flynn", "Mini but Mighty", and "Welcome to Skylander Academy".

Well, I think all the old Spyro fans would like a new Spyro game that it's not Skylanders related...

Yet Skylanders is more a Spyro game than the Legend trilogy, and really similar to the Classic one under a lot of aspects.

I am more interested in getting minis then Trap Masters .

The only current Minis I like so far are Spry, Drobit, Breeze and Whisper Elf. They shouldn't have created Hijinx. I would have wanted Cynder to have a Mini version of herself I'd like to call "Cyndi."

If I could have had it my way they would have been as follows:

SSA: Trigger Snappy, Gill Runt, Terrabite, Whisper Elf
SG: Barkley, Mini Jini, Thumpling, Eyesmall
SSF: (No minis released)
STT: 4 Minis for SSF: Mini Rattle Shake, Mini Hoot Loop, Mini Blast Zone, Mini Boom Jet
4 Minis for STT: Mini Wallop, Mini Wild Fire, Mini Gusto, Mini Gearshift

That would still get 2 of each element and would give us the minis we should have gotten last year.

I'm actually kind of surprised they gave any recognition to Swap Force with a Trap Team character with Small Fry/Fryno. TfB seems to want to disown anything VV added.

I honestly don't consider them, Mini.s In my headcanon, they're just the actual baby versions of the Skylanders. I just picture them coming in at the Future of Skylands level, where Da pinchy made a "wrong turn" and went back in time, meeting the kid Skylanders, who decided to join them, wondering who these guys from the future are. It also sparks their interest in becoming Skylanders.

So you want to show then you don't like the minis by buying yhe minis? I see a flaw in that. And the old developers said once that thy see skylanders as the new home for Spyro, and that even though his name isn't in the newer game's title, it is still about him. So you'll get a new Spyro game next year with Skylanders 5.

Here's a better idea that may satisfy all parties:
Create a new one that bridges from the last Spyro game to Skylands.
In other words, a prequel to SSA.

But I like the Minis, and am more than happy to keep playing Skylander games. If they release new Spyro games, that's a bonus, but I've bought all the Minis thus far and will buy the rest.

So that's why Tessa and Whiskers show up explicitly in levels and are part of the main story?

I personally like the minis. I think they are so stinkin cute! My kids absolutely love them too, must be something about the small size!

My only gripe? They shoulden't have the same moves as their normal-sized counterparts....
