If you already have regular Night Shift, go for Jade Fire Kraken. He looks a lot cooler.

If you don't have any other figures, Legendary Night Shift makes more sense to get if you don't have a Swap Force character with the teleport ability.

You're already getting a Swap Force character with the bounce ability by getting the 3DS starter pack (Rattle Shake). Jade Fire Kraken would be another bounce.

Cannot choose between Grilla Drilla and Rubble Rouser

As Dahvoo said, you want to optimize here. You'll be covered on the Life front, so get the Earth Skylander.

If you're not worried about how many you're going to get in the long run, I'd say go for both. Rubble Rouser is an Earth one for you, but I sure do love using Grilla Drilla's ability to call monkeys to attack enemies. I love to spam it during a sea of chompies in the arenas.

But I can use my old Skylanders (S1/S2 where I have all the elements already covered) to unlock stuff in SF?

Yes. You don't need to get another skylander of each element.

You can unlock single elemental gates with any one character of the same element, or double-elemental gates with either the correctly swapped single figure (for example, Blast Buckler for a fire/water gate) OR by playing with two players of the corresponding elements (for example, Spyro and Trigger Happy for a magic/tech gate).

But remember there are still Swap Force zone exclusive areas that require a Swap Force character of the matching ability (spin, dig, sneak, climb, rocket, teleport, bounce and speed).

To answer your question about getting either Grilla Drilla or Rubble Rouser, I suggest Rubble Rouser if you're trying to minimize purchases. If you don't plan to get all 16 Swap Force figures, he can be your earth element with dig. The other earth Swap Force figure is Doom Stone with spin, but you already have spin with the Free Ranger from the 3DS starter.

If you're getting dupes get Jade--both paths are entertaining. If you're not getting dupes still get Jade--it's more fun to play as him.

Ok!
So thanks for all the help.

Earth element with dig?
Do you mean that you need some combinations of element/ability?

Quick rundown and see if I got this right.
What I have covered already (like I said, I have all elements covered with "normal" Skylanders)

Blast Zone -Rocket
Free Ranger - Spin
Rattle Snake - Jump
Wash Buckler - Climb

What I need is Speed, Teleport, Dig and Stealth:
Freeze Blade - Speed (Considering getting Magna Charge also cause he/she is cool. Although it seems that Target is no out of them smilie )
Legendary Night Shift - Teleport (Love me some Legendary)
Rubble Rouser - Dig (By recommendation)

Now, stink Bomb or Trap Shadow?
Which is best in-game?
Other consideriations?
My list looks ok?

I keep on hearing in these forums that Stink Bomb kinda sucks. Go for Trap Shadow.

Stink Bomb is a let down---and after being a hit from a marketing standpoint--it always pays to let the gameplay guide your judgement.

Yeah, they probably released him first because he was the weaker Stealth swapper and they knew people would snatch him up to unlock the last part of SF regardless of how good he was.
