I hope this is in the right category. Oh well, Anyways I FINALLY found a skylanders bag of chips ( Im actually eating some Pop Fizz Barbecue chips right now...) and scanned it... BUMMER. It told me Bummer... I was sad... I thought maybe i might win. Oh well then. Im at the beach now and really didnt want to go anywhere, I was just laying in bed, and my mom couldnt get me out. Then she said she would buy me a skylander. And we did too. But We also ended up getting the frito lay chips. The internet in our condo is a bit dodgy but I can work with it. Anyways, have any of you won yet???

Lots of us won at first (including me), but now less and less of us are winning for some reason. Also, you don't have to buy the bag of chips or use the app to enter if you don't want to. An alternative way that more people won with is calling the special number on their site.

I won one for my kids about 3 weeks ago and we received it in the mail today. The figure is clear plastic (Crystal Hot Dog as my kid says) and the color accent on ours is red. It's pretty cool looking and the first "rare" figure we've ever gotten. Was going to try for more, but they seem happy with the one.

Hope this image/link (whichever, pending what I managed works) is ok. It was a quick pic, so the lighting is less than good. Saw some pics of the green and purple ones around the web. Makes me rethink trying to get the others because they look sharp. I won this one via email though, not phone. I used the Blip app and randomly got an email about "I may be a winner." Glad I was since it's one of my kids' favorite characters. I'd say keep trying and hope for the best! Use multiple emails/names/whatever until you win. Hopefully, you'll all get one too.

Nice. Can we confirm there's no lightcore capabilities here? I doubt since it's translucent. Just thought I'd ask.

-There is no LightCore function, but he looks cool in the dark.
-Unfortunately, there is no barcode for the figure. I'm guessing there won't be a reissue like with Quickdraw, or any chances of him turning up at retail.

I'm not really a fan of figures that aren't readily available to everyone (kids especially), but it is what it is (a love/hate relationship). At least I was able to get all the Crystal variants for Infinity with version 1. I'm sure that will all change when 2.0 hits.

How exactly does he function in the game? Is he normal? Or does he show up as special?

I'll have to check how he registers in the game, but he's just a normal Fire Bone Hot Dog on screen. We don't have any of the Spyro's Adventure crystal figures, but I'm guessing it uses the same model: cool looking figure with no in-game perks/visual difference. I'll try to get in the game and check how he registers in a bit. My kids are holding the TV hostage at the moment.

Sorry for the extended delay, but I have a minor update for you. This version of Hot Dog is listed as "Special" when placed on the portal. Hope that helps anyone who is interested!

Thanks for the pics and confirmation. IIRC, doesn't the Bronze Hot Dog from last year ring up as "Special" or does it ring up "Rare"?

I tried once when it first came out, just tried a second time yesterday, no luck. I thought it was a silver Hot dog at first so I didn't care, but upon seeing its a crystal...and always wanting a crystal for myself, I've decided to try hard to get it.

I won one a day over a 4 day period the first 4 days of the contest. 1 time via Blappar app, 3 times via phone #.. havent won since... barely tried after several days of losing

received my first to my second address, a purple one a couple weeks ago!!! Was stoked as this was the main one I wanted!!!!

received the other 3 to my main address (was worried cause I'd moved after winning, but change of address at the post office FTW!) I was stoked to open 1 of each of the 3 colors!!! I dont know if this was pure dumb luck or if it was intentional since it was 3 to the same address.

Here's some interesting info for everyone: I tried using the Blip app today, but when I put my info in it told me I was ineligible. That's the first time it has happened since the contest started. Not sure if they are cracking down on repeat winners, but that's the only explanation I can think of. I'd still like to get a purple and/or green one, but I won't complain since we managed to actually win the red one.
