Experience and Gold from Arena? [CLOSED]

So I keep wanting to level my skylanders and looking around one of the popular methods is the arena, 9 lives and run off the edge trick.

I've seen videos and people get like 2000 gold and somewhere like 5000 experience... but I'm getting now here near that! Only like 100 gold and 200 experience or so. Why am I so different?

What difficulty are you playing at? I think that setting the difficulty higher gives more experience and gold.

It's on hard, can't do the highest since we haven't beat the game yet. So 1 step below the highest and I get 10% the gains of others?

They could have it on Nightmare mode, have gold and XP treasures on, and may even have played back when it was Double XP Sunday or some other bonus like that? Not sure if these would make that much more difference, but all these things could certainly make a great deal of difference. Especially if it was Double XP Sunday.
