Dusty Figures :help: [CLOSED]

I havent played with my figures for about a month..... yup #flop
And you can assume that they are very "dirty"
I've got about 120+ figures and it would take forever to clean that mess.
Any advice? How do you keep your figures clean?

All I can say to that is - I can leave any figure in my house on a shelf. Within a week, it attracts dust. Within a month... Well. It's practically a flocked variant smilie

Also, OP, I can't see your image. I actually don't clean my figures all that often honestly, since dust comes back so quickly in my household. I usually sweep them over with a feather duster or, if I'm feeling particularly brave, I'll wipe them individually from time to time.

I keep a sheet over my skylanders so they don't fade. They also don't attract much dust at all. :-)

Replacing the filter on your AC/Heat vent should help with your problem assuming you don't live in an apartment.

I have a HUGE dust problem. We don't have AC in the UK so nothing to filter the air at all. Also I live right on a very busy main road with constant traffic, the pollution that comes in is terrible. Not only are the Skylanders filthy but the table I store them on now has a "carpet" around them...

You can dust yeah, but getting stuff out of the tiny creases and nooks on the figures it's very hard. Compressed air is the best thing I have found to be safe to clean them.
A quick blast every now and then stops them getting too bad.

Ours is in the loft/attic - And since that place is almost always shut tight, it doesn't affect us much where dust is concerned.

AC/central air etc is extremely rare in the UK.

We have radiators in most rooms for heating and that's it.
So no, we don't have AC, as in air conditioning.

Don't sound so surprised, it's just not needed in a lot of countries.

Like what bass said, with compressed air to clean pc components you can easily clean figure and with the nozzle I would think the result will be pretty neat too...

I use a short horse hair detailing brush. 4 dog kick up a lot of dust lol.

While they are in theory water resistant I hope that dish washer comment was a joke.

Please do NOT put them in a dish washer, it will end badly in some way or another.

You could try a small fine artists paintbrush to get into the awkward to reach grooves
