There's something wrong about my portal [CLOSED]

For some odd reason, every time i put or take out a skylander, instead of a quick switch, it slightly delays for 4-7 seconds. Can someone explain what's happening to my portal?

P.S: The version I'm playing is the Wii U version

Are you switching Swap Force characters? Those take a second or two to get into the game, but otherwise, I haven't a clue

No, What i mean is my portal is acting screwy, first every time i start the game as of now, the color lighting of the portal is now different.
Next, when i placed the skylander, it took 5-8 seconds for the magical moment, and then suddenly my fully upgraded Rubble Rouser (including the soul gem) lost all it's upgrades, it even went back to level 1, after a few seconds, it went back to fully upgraded.

I swear my portal is probably broken.

Contact Activision. I remember someone during the SA days tried it and got a replacement.
