Alpha Male: We all know what this is. The guy who always comes out on top. Is very popular, physically robust, and more often than not has wealthy or powerful people in his family. Always the center of attention. Seems to be good at everything he does, but can be a complete jerk sometimes. Always gets the girls, but never really values them for what they are. Is overly confident about every situation, and while this does help him some, it sometimes gets him into sticky situations. In said situations, he typically weasels his way out using money, power or social connections. Is typically followed by a pack of other alpha males who have not yet reached his level, but are on their way there. He also has a tendency to think that he's perfect, and a bad habit of having a laugh at the expense of Beta Males or even subordinate Alpha Males. Keep in mind, however, his hostilities are purely for his own amusement, not to maintain his status; that is what a Beta Male does. The Alpha's main weakness is that he constantly has to impress his pack and be viewed as superior in their eyes, or else his big grapefruit balls quickly shrink to the size of dimes and he becomes a Beta Male. Overall, the Alpha Male is respected and admired by most, but has a habit of not truly valuing just how good he's really got it.

Beta Male: Beta Males are the underdogs of society, and they come in two varieties:
1. The ones who hate the Alphas, yet are too scared of them to do anything about it.
2. The ones who constantly try to be the Alphas and fail at it.
Beta Males are often unremarkable. Afraid to take risks. Afraid of social interaction. Very, very, VERY insecure about himself. He fails at almost everything he attempts, but it's not because he's incompetent, it's because he gives up as soon as it gets difficult. He will also complain about his troubles, and make excuses as to why he can't solve his problems. Both varieties of Beta Male typically shy away from a challenge, preferring not to leave their comfort zone. When it comes to relationships, they are either total pushovers, or controlling (and perhaps abusive) partners. The first variety of Betas, the Alpha-fearing ones, have a tendency to stick together in small groups to avoid the wrath of the Alphas; this causes the Alphas to seek these males as targets for bullying and harassment. The second variety will do anything to get into the Alpha pack, and because of this, the Alphas often use these males as pawns or henchmen to help accomplish their goals. In the very rare event that a Beta holds a leadership position, he will typically abuse his power and treat his subordinates like crap, just to make himself feel better. Basically, a giant pussy. However, there is an upside: Due to their nature of not taking risks, Beta Males typically remain financially and occupationally stable.


Omega Male: This one's a bit trickier. There's more than one definition; some view Omega Males as being even lower than Betas, while others view them in a much more positive manner. Omega Males are similar to Alpha Males, but less superficial: for example, while the Alpha draws power from his pack, the Omega is a self-made man who does not want or need a pack, but may have a very loyal group of friends whom he trusts with his life. The Omega Male works hard for what he wants and does not skate through life on money, good looks or power, unlike the Alpha Male. He NEVER complains and he NEVER makes excuses; he finds solutions to his problems with very creative, resourceful, and sometimes unorthodox methods. He has an equal balance of confidence and caution; he is proud of his strengths, and constantly works to improve his weaknesses. He believes in always challenging himself and holding himself to a high standard. When it comes to relationships, an Omega Male will treat his partner like royalty, but will not allow him/her to dictate his whole life. Unfortunately, Omega Males are often viewed as social outcasts and even weird or strange. Conclusively, an Omega has traits of both Alphas and Betas, with a little extra spice of his own. However, while Alpha and Beta Males often seek tangible goals (e.g. money, women, luxury possessions), the Omega Male is much more ideological. He is much more likely to spend his life chasing after an idea or philosophy, which while seeming noble, is often depressing and futile. But, he still believes.


So what are you guys? Honestly, I used to be a REALLY bad Beta, but now I think I'm more of an Omega.

I suppose I'm Omega? I can take charge when I need too, but only if I need to, I'm not afraid to stand up to d***heads or anyone else, I have a lot of leader qualities, but I'm not rich or an asshole.
