a few weeks ago, toys for bob uploaded some concept art from when they were in the early exploration phase of aging spyro up. i haven't seen anyone post these here yet, so i figured i'd share them :)

what do you think of this concept art? do you prefer any of the ideas they previously had compared to what we got?
the page where he's diving vaguely reminds me of his comet dash from TLoS, or even his earth pound from skylanders. i wonder if they took any inspiration from that?

he looks so cool!!! lil man's growing up....

the tail options remind me of skylanders where it's very detailed and big!!! the ones where the tail tip splits open are so neat, i NEVER would've thought of that but it's so creative!

the tail tip that opens up like a flower is literally the coolest thing to me but all of the designs look super neat and creative! and also the way they thought of showing that he's growing, I just love how much effort Toys for Bob puts in and how much they care about this franchise

yeah, i had never even considered his tail opening up before. i don't like it for spyro and i'm glad they deviated away from that, but i think it'd be cool for a different character!

toys for bob have always been very big fans of spyro, despite everything that happened way back when with the fandom. love to see it

wow, amazing!! i wonder what the tail opening up could be for... maybe for expressing mood?
