Would be someone nice to explain me about the pre-ordering stuff at First4figures?
I've pre-ordered the PVC but now I read the "validate date is next friday".
What does it mean? I don't understand it. I've pre-ordered already and paid my first 21 USD.
What should I validate?

I wish you could preorder the standard version from their site as well, it would make anything much easier, but I guess they have their good reasons for this choice.

Anyway, I’m absolutely no expert about this kind of stuff but I think it’s a way to give people some time to cancel their preorder in case they changed their mind.
I watched a bit of the Facebook stream and they talked about how the special edition of the figure was limited, and how they would have handled the release and distribution since they are relatively new to PVCs.

ok, apparently it’s just a matter of getting a Day One edition packaging and a low-numbered statue (which I guess means it was one of the first to be produced).
If you don’t validate you should still get your “regular” special edition.

I would hope that they would either add them into the opening cutscene of YotD or put them in as (the inevitable) DLC.

Interessting! I hope so and I'm still hoping they are adding Ember and Flame, maybe as background characters in Spyro 3 cutscenes., and as unlockable playable skins like in AHT.. Its kinda odd that Spyro is the only one of his age in the OT.
I want Cynder in a sequel as a villain and later friend of Spyro.

The only thing I truly miss about that design is the slight overbite, otherwise I greately prefer the final one.

I wonder if they’ll be able to sneak in the original redesign, the one looking basically like the PS1 model, as a cheat code or as an unlockable reward.
Would be a nice bonus just like the original soundtrack.

Apparently, people are already unlocking trophies for Reignited Trilogy, possibly the developers are testing it just before it goes gold.

I personally do not think they're going to re-do the disks. I feel that all those fans who are trying to convince themselves otherwise are setting themselves up for disappointment. People are making a huge assumption that the delay is related to the disk thing. If they had the capability (or wanted) to put all games on one disk, then they would have done it before, and wouldn't have made an announcement that games 2 and 3 have to be downloaded. Announcing the need for a download implies the disks are finalized. Redoing the disks would not only mean spending a ton of money for reprints, but also would mean all the money they spent doing the previous disks would basically be wasted. I doubt a publisher is going to do that.

I posted this on Reddit as well, but I was talking about the delay with a friend who is pretty knowledgeable about games, and he posits that the delay is most likely due to a compliance issue, given the timing of the delay and how hard they were trying to push for the September release date. Compliance involves the game meeting platform-specific requirements and are generally things not directly related to gameplay, such as controller support or even paperwork. Here's the definition from Wikipedia:

I might be terribly wrong here, but with all the fuss generated by this news back then it was really hard for me to understand what the situation really was and I honestly can’t recall an official (which doesnt’t necessarily mean “from Activision”, mind it) confirmation of the disk containing only one game.

Sure, sites all around the Internet assumed that was the case, since the box had the caption “game 2 and 3 require download” and you don’t really have a good and catchy title for your article if you write it down like that, but the only official words from Activision were about a standard Day One patch or something along those lines.

So perhaps they did postponed the release because of that controversy, not so they could put the other two games on the disk but to reduce the required downloadable content to the bare minimum.

Please do correct me if anything which says otherwise surfaced, maybe it’ll be easier to find out the truth now that the dust has settled.

Seems like if they weren't already on the disc, the delay won't change that. There's been press material released since after the delay with the same download smallprint as before the delay.

I was looking back at some E3 Tree Tops’ footage, and suddendly noticed how the font used for both the “The Adventure Continues...” and “loading” screens used to be the same flat one of the HUD, yet has been changed to the 3D rotating one used for the portals in the latest demos.

Perhaps there is still a tiny possibility of the regular HUD changing to that as well, even thought I guess it cold make the potential customization of it a bit harder.
Don’t know, seems like the kind of detail they could have added with the couple months of delay the got.

I don’t even look at concept arts anymore.

Seeing how many creative liberties TfB are taking with character’s and evnironment’s designs, I absolutely want to be surprised as much as possible when I play the games.

We did see many changes from build to build to the point of having characters’ designs dramatically changing from one to the other (the Thief Gnorc in Artisans), so I guess what we’ll get could vary quite a bit from what we’ve seen, but the general idea will remain the same.

Regarding Icy Speedway, only saw a thumbnail but it looks gorgeous and perhaps even better than the original color-wise somehow.

Ahhh, that Icy Speedway clip is hilarious. They actively AVOID one of the time gates and then proceed to go through all the rest?!

The Sea Serpents look quite different from their PS1 models, yet I recognized the design immediately: seems to be a common leitmotif for this game.

I can’t believe the amount of passion put in these remakes: just look at how much effort they put in a character used only inside one level as a “collectible”.
It’s heartwarming to see such small parts of the games you loved treated with so much care.

Wonder if the upcoming artwork will reveal the satyrs or even the Alchemist.

Everyone talks about how difficult the trolley mission in Breeze Harbor is, but I’ve always found his one to be much more annoying.
