I was kind of disappointed that her face isn’t very humanish at first especially since she’s one of my top favorite characters from the oh Spyro games ,but I got over it fast and I think that she still looks cute.

That's actually not the first the first instance of voice tone shifting they've done.

If you listen to the exchange between Spyro and Jed, OG Spyro is clearly angry and annoyed when he says "Yeah, well, you could have found an easier spot to get stuck...", but in Reignited, they make him more exhausted sounding. And with the exchange with Bakari, Spyro's "That's me alright!" is changed from being cocky, to being upbeat and happy.

So this is now the third instance of TFB changing the tones of lines that originally had a cocky/bratty attitude to them. (Though, this could just all be a coincidence, seeing as Spyro's exchange with Astor is still rather jerky with his "See ya!")

Also, I absolutely adore how Elora's redesign now makes her look more closer to Spyro's age. The teased romance between them always weirded me out as a kid, cuz I always saw Elora as an adult, while Spyro was clearly a kid hdjksahdjksa

My bby Elora looks gorgeous. The voice sounds really close to the original by Melissa Disney as well, I find. I hope they got her to reprise the role.

She looks ready to take on an army in that concept art.

That concept art is beautiful!!! I think the only thing that really bothers me (and this is a super nitpick) is the way her hair is in the actual animation. Maybe it’s the way her bangs are sectioned, it looks kinda chunky?? Anyway, that’s just a nitpick but I really love her design overall.

Now I’m just waiting for Bianca, that’s who I’m most excited to see!

I'm guessing it was a little harder for them to redesign Elora compared to the other characters, because she never appeared in any sixth and seventh generation games.

I don't know why that would make that hard? None of the versions of the characters or any NPC's have been on a sixth or seventh gen

Elora is awesome! I’m happy her face is more animal than human. She totally looks like Tessa too! But I don’t mind at all.

The YouTube channel Ratchet5 is so negative about every development regarding the Reignited Trilogy, that it's crazy. They even complained about the Elora cutscene, that Spyro isn't supposed to sound so enthusiastic and smiley about what's going on.

I may not agree with what he's saying but making a post that just says "this person is expressing opinions I don't like, how dare they" doesn't really contribute anything either. People are entitled to their opinions, not everyone likes the liberties being taken by the trilogy.

I looked at a few videos comparing the two, I prefer the new lines, old spyro can sound like a jerk sometimes

I actually do think making him overly enthusiastic cheapens the scene a little bit.

Mainly because the new Elora is more playful and friendly. If they kept the original dejected and slightly miffed Spyro who is bothered that his vacation got ruined for the start of the game, then we could have observed how spending time with the now playful and friendly Elora, he becomes friendlier with her as the game goes on and develops that crush on her. It would be a fun dynamic and a bit of an improvement over the original.

As it is now, it's like he's kinda setting his heart on her immediately, which I feel dilutes the scene and the relationship, just a tad.

I don't know if the NPCs being too smiley really is a legitimate criticism.

I agree, but I understand why they have the criticism, for example the Cloud Spires Fairies are supposed to be upset that their rain has been taken away.

I guess it's because the devs don't have the budget to make the characters emote much? Kinda like the Mabu in Skylanders always looking either dead inside or far too cheerful with no inbetween.

A lot of people on the Spyro reddit are complaining and it's really dis-encouraging to see so many people part of this fandom hating on something we begged for. I understand criticism, I've agreed with most of the criticism so far and TFB have been so good listening but recently people have been just straight up hating on stuff and it's a bit upsetting. I love how Elora looks. I do wish that Spyro acted a bit more peeved and cocky to begin with however, that part I really do agree with. But I just don't think hate is the same as criticism and a lot of the fandom can't distinguish this. Opinions are one thing, someone straight up commenting 'ew' is another, but maybe that's just how I see it.

One thing I would like fixed for Reignited, is when one of the Wizards in Cloud Temples accidentally calls the level by its original name, "Mystic City."

I really, really like the new Elora, even though I prefer the concept art over the in-game model slightly more.

I do think they could have kept her attidude a bit more sassy, but the overall result is great!
Nice how they cut the scene with Crush to prevent spoilering his new look too early.

Summer Forest looks weird though.
The colors, shapes and lighting are pretty much right but this scene almost doesn’t look like it’s rendered in-game: kinda gave me the feeling of SA, Giants and SWAP Force’s cutscenes where you could clearly tell the game’s engine from the cutscene one.
The fact Glimmer’s portal has the wrong colors for the skybox also makes me think it’s an early build.

is it just me, or does Elora's face look somewhat like a Thundercat?

Everyone is excited that she's made her comeback! I really hope she appears in future games!

A few minutes ago I just had the thought of Elora being playable in Season of Ice but she was scrapped. Had to do some digging with that one. (Hopefully not a rumor?) How awesome would it be to play as a Reignited!Elora and crack open some frozen crystals to release fairies with just the sweeping hoof?

I think it's justified. Most people had a similar complaint about the Ratchet & Clank remake. I.e. they made him a total nice guy and not a single element of his original jerkass attitude remained. <.<;
