I still find it funny when certain quirks of the development are just "we forgot". Nowadays it's hard to excuse that with 300+ people working on the thing, but such a simple answer for tons of theories when games had small staff is pretty amusing.

I’m confident most of those oversights will be fixed in the Reignited Trilogy, but I’m curious about the meatier stuff such as the side plot with the Professor and Agent 9 or the Dino Mines arena (though it sounds waaaay too similar to the other Agent 9 challenge in the same level).

Wonder if they decided to talk about that because of their meetings with TfB, which made them remind those details.
Never heard about it before.

Recently learnt about the cut Aquifier Homeworld from the first game, but it sound more like an early scrapped concept.
I did find evidence about Spyro being originally able to swim in the first game, as well as proof about a fourth Spyro 2 homeworld being at least considered.

Here is the press release which mentions the Aquifiers (and Machinists as well):

This is a really nice guideline for TfB, in my opinion.

Here is the message mentioning swimmable water in the first entry, there is also a discussion about whether a fourth Spyro 2 Homeworld was at least considered or not:

Wow, both Machinists and Aquifiers? Maybe we'll see at least a dragon or two that is from those tribes, maybe with a handwave as to why you don't need to go to their homeworld.

There is a user discussing the possibility of Aquifiers’ World’s concept being used for the various speedways, since they all feature various small islands in vast bodies of water, crystals and arch-like structures.
If that’s true and Machinists’ World was fused with the original idea for Beast Makers (which coincidentally didn’t mentioned technology nor robots) then it might have been a creative choice rather than actual cut content.

Would indeed be cool if they replaced some of Gnorc Gnexus’ dragons with ones from those tribes, or even added a couple in speedways.
