I think they'll just get a redesign to make more sense when they wear armor... as well as change tha face. Maybe integrate the arrow into their helmet or something.

I still find it hard to believe lighting can alter a color’s look to that extent: judging from the current cover art, Spyro’s official color is basically the darker shade he had in the priginal trilogy, so it should look at least similar even under a very strong source of light.
Magenta shouldn’t be an option, especially since the human eye can still recognize a color under the majority of lightings after it has seen it in its “normal” look, if I remember correctly.
Doesn’t bother me anyway, it’s clear TfB has a very strong idea of the art direction for these remakes and I’m really liking it so far.

Didn’t think about Sparx’s levels in Year of the Dragon, guess they probably redesigned him so much to allow more animations and interactions.

at least they aren't dressed up in vaguely tribal outfits and throwing bananas, honestly it's more comical than racist

ehhh, not really. as you said, for all we know ffvii comes out next month, but in all seriousness, it isn't that hard to change a character model. I do have an understanding of how games are created with 3d assets nowadays and it's a pretty simple thing.

that was just one example and I like throwing ff in when I can, lol. there's been plenty of games (including spyro) that have changed things close to the release date. and these days, they could even change stuff after the release date what with updates and all that jazz.

Now that I think about it, I wish they used SL elements in the Tree Tops redesign, but that part of Tree Tops is actually the canopy which can't be seen in this game. That issue fixes itself, not counting the fact that one is also on Avalar for some reason.

What are the pillars with gems again, now that I think about it? The original screenshot has nothing on top.

For the playable characters Im looking forward to seeing how they handle Agent 9 the most. I feel him and the birb have the most potential to be fun to play, but at the time were let down due to the controls. I wonder if they will make Agent 9 still simple to play or go with a more modern third person shooter gameplay like R&C. Also one thing that annoyed me was how Agent 9 always had his gun up even when talking to npcs, so I look forward to seeing the changes in his animations.

Also with Sheila one thing that annoyed me with her was that she took ages to actually hit the enemy, so I hope they change that.

I sure hope they won’t change Bombo’s design heavily just to avoid questionable protests.
He already throws magical bombs, altering him to avoid making certain connections would kinda be more disrespectful than leaving him as it is.

Really curious to see Sgt. Byrd, Sheila, Agent 9 and Bentley as well to see how they handled their fur and feathers.
They seem to be going with an extremely cartoony look for the shepherds’ beards and dogs and the boars in Beast Makers’ World, so I’d expect something along those lines.

Also, a couple random thoughts I had:
- sorry if this is so obvious it wasn’t discussed yet, but I suddendly realized “Reignited” could also be a pun referencing the various realms in all three games.
- Laura’s leak also mentioned the possibility of originally cut content;

I didn’t remember this being considered as a plausible possibility, but since she’s been basically right about everything so far I guess there might be a chance for that part to be true as well!

Maybe they'll finish that mini-game in Dino Mines, you can only get that by using the swim in the air glitch, and inside of it, is an arena with nothing in it, I'm guessing that it was a boxing mini-game, or a mini-boss like the one in Spooky Swamp.

Yeah, I’d honestly expect more things along the lines of unfinished minigames, quests or extra areas instead of entire homeworlds or levels, at least in the base game.

Machinists’ World, a Summer-themed Homeworld in Gateway to Glimmer and a full-fledged Super Bonus World could work as paid or free DLCs.
I do want to see TfB deal with 100% new content similarly to what V.V.’s did with Stormy Ascents’ bonus, it would give us a better idea about Spyro’s future.

There are no machinist dragons. They're just the dragons that got freed and who are going to counter attack Gnasty's world.

It'd be nice to see them prepared for battle though, wearing armor, battlemage armor/robes for the Magic Crafter and Dream Weavers.
The land could also be chared from dragon fire.

There was only one that changed colors, and it was only in the US release due to texturing problems. He's exactly the same as he was the first time you freed him in the PAL version.

The curly horns, and the frills going down the dragon's back that you can see in the window under the one the guy's working in, seem to imply that this dragon could be a Beast Maker?

He's kinda slim compared to a typical Beast Maker, but assuming that they're not just making an executive decision to remove the bulk from the Beast Maker breed, that'd still leave the possibility of Untitled Dragon 43 to be Bubba, Isaac, or Rosco...

Rosco was kind of derpy looking, so maybe it's him.

OH MY GOD! Snoop is a Spyro fan! This remake is blowing UP! I think I may have to pre order the game just to secure a copy. Heh, I remember how arrogant LOS fans were about Classic Spyro being over with and LOS being the new status quo. I also remember Skylanders fans being the same way during the height of its fame. I don't recall anyone laughing about Skylanders(do remember LoS elitism though) being the main canon. We were just tired of sticking to the past after 6 years. And will ya look at that, it's a new style now as well.

I find it pretty out there that Snoop Dog likes Spyro, but hey, it's good PR. Between that and the official Discord, Acti is finally attempting to do it properly.

Its honestly embarrassing for the classic fans who are not like that and also makes the classic fans look like pricks as a whole, when a lot aren't even like that. Like is there really any point in gloating about it? When tlos fans were around I don't remember them gloating about the classics being done. They were just enjoying their games while it lasted. I thought empathy would have been what would be shown since classic fans know the feeling all too well, not this crap. I feel bad for the skylanders fans and kids since I now know why a new game hasn't been released recently and the future for that series doesn't look good.

I was mainly laughing at the irony and how the table have turned.

There's no irony. Again, it did happen before, but we're getting a redesigned classic trilogy, not the same games and same style(or new games and same style).

It kind of is ironic, LOS fans thought LOS was here to stay, then got dropped immediately after DotD and Sky fans thought Skylanders would last before Reignited got announce. The opposite of what was expected happened.
