That depends how many is bought and shipped. I imagine whatever team is developing the new Spyro has a marketing budget that's low by Activision's standards.

Taking a look, that seller is one that sells the eggs for 30 bucks a pop.

So unless there was some sort of bulk deal, that whole shipment cost 480 US dollars.

Yeah, I can't see any company (or person) being willing to shell out THAT much for only a prank.

A weird number, would have expected 12 as others have suggested or 20 due to Spyro’s age, but I suppose the motivation is less symbolic and more practical.
They probably had a set number of journalists/journals to cover.

So I guess we still have 9 eggs before the announcement is made, which would lead to one of PAX’s days, assuming they will be regular with their shipments.

There could also be a slim chance that there'll be more eggs, but they'd only managed to convince THAT seller to up their limit to 16?

For all we know, some other sellers might have been commissioned for this caper as well...

When I saw the first egg from IGN, I thought they may have exclusive footage of the Spyro remake. Now more eggs appear, my first thought has gone out the window lol. I have no idea where this egg thing is going, it'll be cracked soon hopefully.

all thinking on this eggs thing too hard. activision intern probably make them for marketing. buy supplies at walmart and craft store for $100 or less. still legit marketing just not big conspiracy.

That's exactly what they look like to me. They're custom painted in neat colors though.

Huh... that's not the only difference with that egg. The scales on the egg are completely different too.



The eggs we've seen before have clear-cut scales, that leave gaps, that things like the hay could get wedged under.

The IGN France one looks like all the gaps between the scales were plastered/heavily painted over.

Annnd that egg also seems to be the same build as the IGN France one, very different to the other 7, and thus seems to imply it might have been commissioned from someone else.

Meaning we could very well end up with more then 16 eggs.

I don't know why everyone think there are sending only 16 eggs because of Spyro 1. It's just a theory not a fact.

A gameplay trailer of any kind would make total sense, if the game is due to be released this year.
Crash had a much longer reveal-to-launch period, so of course they took more time for it.

The fact they had troubles with the troll... I mean, the engine, makes me think they might not be using the Alchemy after all, and that the N. Sane Trilogy truly was the last title developed by V.V. using it.
Which obvioulsy makes me even more impatient to see it in action!

Either that or something with the open world-ish gameplay created unexpected glitches - reminding everyone that tripling Spyro's size on SSA breaks the whole thing and it's why TFB had to overhaul some things for Giants, you never know when you make major changes. However, what luck for Laura, if it wasn't for that(if the Amazon rep is saying the truth), she not only would be 100% right in her prediction, it would've probably come early in March, maybe even the rumoured 15th. At least it's happening now.

I think it's just a screenshot of the game with the camera pointing down (glow that seems to be sparx, same angle we usually see spyro in the perspective), but it's so blurry there's nothing to learn from it.

Yes, that image matches up with the ONE eye, but the other eye has something very noticeably GREEN being shown, that's very much absent in that one...

It kinda makes sense Toys for Bobs are working a Spyro trilogy remaster. Aside from the dummy Twitter name Falcon McBob, Toys for Bob did work on Skylanders which had Spyro in it and the Skylanders they worked on was cancelled last year since that brand was starting to lose steam as hype for Crash skyrocketed in social media.

I know graphics, music and voice-acting will be fine but I'm concerned about gameplay. It has to play with modern standards in mind with the second analogue stick and hit-detection. Toys for Bob knew how to make 2D platformers like Pandemonium and isometric dungeon crawlers like Skylanders but open-ended 3D platformng is something else.

Let's not forget that Toys for Bob helped Vicarious Visions with the remake of Crash Bandicoot, so it could be the same for Spyro's? Also, remember that Dan is working on an "unannounced" project, so there could be a collaboration going on.

I really doubt that they'll be an announcement tomorrow, just can't see it happening to be honest. But E3 seems way more likely, especially now.

E3 feels way too far away for something like this. I could see Spyro being shown off by someone there, but not announced.
Besides, why wouldn't tomorrow be a good time? It's the first day of PAX, where a decent amount of things get revealed. It's not out of the question.

Maybe it's just me, but having another look at the Crash picture, it seems like some digital magic was done to it (different pictures being reflected in each eye, for one)

I wonder if instead of just a little teaser snapshot, if it's a single snapshot of whatever first reveal trailer they're planning. Maybe they're planning to use Crash himself to reveal Spyro...?
