They announced nothing

Putting aside the fact that nothing was announced, the stream itself wasn't a really good one.

At least there's Easter for me to look forward to. It's related to eggs just like Spyro.

Well we only have rumors and some ppl are awaiting and complaining about the possible reveal something where we do not know if it truly exists is hilarious.

Last week the guy said we will see something, I saw something. I saw a Crash stream which was not that good, and had many pauses. I did not see too much gameplay. There's still 2 days left in March, a Glimmer of hope for us still.

Apparently, he says the whole announcement he was actually going on about, was that tiny CoD DLC announcement that happened back on Tuesday.

...To which, I will reiterate my question: On what PLANET, is it considered good PR to tease content for your game, by insinuating in any way, shape, or form, that the fans of that game will be unhappy with the content?

Like, I don't work in PR, but??

Ye, basically, about two thirds into the stream, after the multiple jokes about "The announcement being that there's no announcement" he basically said "If you haven't caught on, the announcement actually was the Call of Duty: The War Machine DLC that we announced back on Tuesday".

There's some debate on if this is actually true, or if he was just trying to grasp straws to soften the backlash.

I see. Man, so many people went to that stream, I saw a lot of Spyro streams on YouTube watching this Activision stream, and we were all left with a bunch of nothing basically. The wait goes on.

I remember Crash was announced at E3 a few years ago so it'll probably be the same thing this year. That would make a far better E3 than last year's.

By now I'd expect an announcement at E3.

Guys, it's Acti and PR. I wouldn't be surprised if they threw this bomb at VV, if that was them streaming, and they tried to damage control very poorly.

Disappointment aside, I think we shouldn’t expect anything major before E3.
Which in my opinion would mean a 2019 release date, don’t think they would only want three months between the announcement and the distribution.

Though I’m not expecting anything in terms of PR and advertisement, seeing how they are handling the hype so far...

I don't know. Fallout 4 had a 5 month gap between announcement and release day in 2015 and it was a hyped up AAA open world RPG shooter from Bethesda. If Spyro has a longer development time than Crash, then I can see a month 3 gap work. Would be better than The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV when they were announced long before developers finished their game engines and wrote down how gameplay would be designed. Whoever's making Spyro already has the old games as a blueprint for design.

If we don't get an announcement at E3, I'd be like "wtf?"

Also, in Tealgamemaster's stream, people were saying that it could have been Crash related, like extra levels, or a new game, but I don't see that happening, because that would have been leaked out ages ago, unless they're hiding it really well, which wouldn't make any sense, since they can't hide Spyro very well.

I also found it really funny how he was ignoring everything Spyro, he mentioned the Crash figure, didn't say anything about Spyro's though, no mention of Spyro merchandise, even though it's Activision, it's just really weird, that's all.

I mean, he literally said “let’s see if there are some questions I can answer”, so not only this confirms the game exists once more but also somehow shows that Activision still wants to treat it as a complete secret.
For whatever reason.

It could be announced at PAX, since N. Sane Trilogy will be playable there, but it’s looking more and more like both Activision and Sony want Spyro to have as much impact as Crash in terms of announcement (which I’m super happy about, mind it).
A true shame they let the hype turn into frustration, though, but it isn’t entirely their fault.

In my opinion something similar to Skylanders Imaginators will happen.

MediEvil is apparently getting revealed during PAX East because the stores are also starting to talk preorders. This DOES line up with the Target answers too...

Huh. I... don't remember the convention map for this PAX East having a standalone booth for Activision. I might not've been paying attention to that, though. I do intend to go to the Sony booth, however and Nintendo will have N. Sane Trilogy to demo on the Switch.

No Acti booth, but Blizzard is listed.

Honestly I don't think it's happening because PAX isn't big enough for them, but hey, keeping an eye out.

I mean, 2011 happened. They can get hostile. However, it was still unprofessional to say you're going to announce something only to say it was already announced and no one noticed - Acti or the streamer's fault, give people a heads up, never waste their time.

Maybe the remaster will include a Dark Spyro Mode with dark flames, a dark dragonfly, a dark filter on screen and dark remixes of all the music. Even the gem sounds could be darker and more ominous.

I asked my dad because I found it exciting as well, and he told me that there’s basically no easy way to know when a site is properly updated with interesting content before it goes live.
WHOIS updates happen regularly, even closed sites still receive them.
