So how likely is this reveal this Thursday?

We have a leak from a reliable source Laura Kate Date who works for Kotaku that it will be announced in March, someone else said Thursdays are Activision's press days and the 22nd is a games convention. That's all I know.

EDIT: Also the 22nd is my birthday (I'M 25!!!!) and it would be the best birthday ever if a remake of my favorite game were announced on my birthday. ;P

Weird. Why Target of all retailers?

That’s very intersting, and since everyone who asks about Spyro is getting the same message I highly doubt it is a simple oversight.

Moreover, it seems that not only Activision and Target use to partner a lot but this is apparently what used to happen shortly before the reveal of a new Skylanders title except in printed form in the stores:

These teasers are great and I don’t honestly see how the gmae would not be real at this point, but what I actually hope for if for them to be a sign of a very close announcement.

Well if they are to sell this game this mid July, then hopefully they will reveal the game soon enough.

Actually, our only potential release date so far (which comes from Laura’s rumor) would be sometimes around September.
Not sure we’ve had more leaks regarding that, though.

It would make sense since then they could keep the E3 for more news and gameplay and still have a couple months for social media coverage and perhaps even finishing the last details.

That automated Target response to Spyro questions say that he's currently "in a faraway land", which might be a nod to Skylanders.

About B4dass, I almost want to wait another week so that "I don't care it's 100% confirmed" gets flipped upside down. Don't be cocky, I don't care if your sources are legit.

Yeah, I'd be a lot more gun shy of leaking specific dates if I were him.

Which is why I believe he’s absolutely sure of what he’s saying this time, or at least strongly hope so.
His credibility would be out of the window if this were a red herring as well.

Plans might change again but if it happens this will hopefully at least teach him to tone down his attitude a bit, in the future.

Again, not holding my breath but a quick announcement during V.V.’s panel would be pretty cool, especially if coupled with an update for a certain game.

Hey, wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.

I’ve said it a lot for Skylanders in the past, many of what we call “leaks” could easily be part of some weirdly convoluted marketing strategies.
I mean, I understand them but they shouldn’t be dragged on for too long.

I’m not even salty because of the fact it was yet another fake news, simply because my mind somehow can’t still accept the fact anyone would have such an immature attitude.

On the contrary, I think that being both a Thursday and a GDC day chances are it’s gonna be it: I indeed counted more on tomorrow rather than today.

The Target confirmation is huge, things are definitely moving in the right direction.

Who runs this 'Ask Target' account though? It could be some random employee confused about what's real and what's been made up during these various fake announcement dates.

On the optimistic side, Spyro the Dragon: Treasure Trilogy sounds great! I love its cute alliteration and double meaning (the treasure you collect and the games themselves being treasures). Bring on Thursday!

Really hoping they reveal the game tomorrow. When it comes to these links and sources about the name of the game, and when it's announced, I just go with the flow, and see where it's heading lol.

I don't know much about the account, have they announced things beforehand in the past? names, dates, anything like that?

Activision press days usually happen on Thursday, I believe

It’s not like we need Target’s confirmation to confirm the legitimacy of the game’s existence.
We have more than enough evidence for that, so we might simply have to de-confirm the name and release date (the latter of which was however present in Laura’s leak).

Yet I am still convinced that’s true, it’s Target we are talking about, not some attention-seeking guy on Reddit.
