That's almost $500 million (M) in debt, not thousand (k). And that's just what they owe by the end of the year. As of last April, they had $5 billion in long term debt.

And on other fronts, Best Buy has become yet another local store to completely eliminate the Skylanders section. They had a few Imaginators Adventure Packs, about 7-8 Starters for various games/systems and a few Superchargers things (very few) in the random clearance area with all the other random gaming stuff they are trying to sell off. Lego Dimensions and Amiibo are the only TTL still in the regular section.

That's the main problem really. Other stores don't want TTL aside from amiibo(seen some ditch LEGO as well, I think?) and the one that does, TRU, is in big trouble. It's not even a matter of the fad bringing money or not, Acti has to offer a big title without figures to keep going until it's sustainable again, if ever.

Well today marks the final Lego Dimensions release. Best Buy and TRU have it on their sites, but Target and Amazon do not. And Best Buy didn't really make too big an effort to have in on the shelves from what I saw (it wasn't put out). At least they are bothering to finish releasing their content though, right? And that other mobile game doesn't seem to have done very well either.

So after that it will pretty much just be Amiibo. They have a pretty good plan for that, a couple new figures every so often that add some pretty cool options to your games when a new game is coming out. Now that they are out of the Smash Brothers and Animal Crossing onslaught of new figures, they have a pretty good plan going. People will buy a figure or two with a new game they are excited about.

Is it me or every new entry in the series, game or not, makes the Undead even more walking nukes

Well, we went from Night Shift in SSF having 3 lives with full HP to... Fiesta. As a character, cool, but weak gameplay wise

Not ingame ststs, I mean lore.

-Undeath is stronger than Life and without protective spells can irreparably corrupt it
-Some Undead dark magic overrides any other element except maybe Magic
-Undeath is a type of energy that the creatures accumulate depending on how powerful they are, meaning people like Hex can be turned into a worldwide incurable rotting plague
-At least one undead location experiences the Witching Hour, meaning an extra hour for a villain to do previously mentioned corruption
-Troll bones can turn you Undead if made into Skele-oats- and that's apparently an easily found snack
-Academy implies stronger Undead have natural urges to spread the plague
-Even if the target isn't turned, lifeforce can be physically eaten to regenerate Undead or drained through various methods, including just plain singing a dirge.

Other elements are no slacks either, but in a more serious high fantasy scenario, Undead would be dominating even if most of its inhabitants aren't evil/don't care.

Well, as for lore... yeah I don't have an argument.

It is very good news! But technically, they followed through last year. Regular Thrillipede was available in the US briefly for those that ordered at TRU online back in May 2016.

I wonder if the missing crystals will also appear at TRU. There are some still anxious for those, and there are no import options for them.

Yeah, but it was still awfully late. They said Q4 for this pack, they delivered it nearly a month before. Crystals are still a mystery, but at least they don't have anything exclusive unlike LIM.

I still don't think this is what was meant by that. I actually believe they originally intended to do more Adventure Packs for Imaginators (and possibly new figures), but when the floor fell out from TTL and the Switch version did not do very well they changed plans and cancelled it, as companies are apt to do with their future product plans. I do think Imaginators Year 2 could have very well been a real thing internally, just the market prevented it from moving forward. Both Lego Dimensions and Disney Infinity had more stuff to come planned internally when they called them off.

I also think maybe the pushback on social media prompted them to release it. Not a single post on Skylanders Facebook comes up without the lack of release being mentioned in the comments. If they ever hope to do anything with the franchise in the future, they can't get beat up over this from now till when that happens.

Apparently it's street dated for December 31st? If so that definitely makes it sound like it's supposed to be the Q4 adventure pack.

It means they haven't given up just yet.

I have mixed thoughts about the US release of LIM:

1. Hooray! It's great! Were not dead.
2. Damn it, I paid a lot for shipping to send what I traded for it.
-(that's ok, it was fun to trade.)
3. There had never been a release this late. I'm confused. They are way off their routine.
4. So anything is possible now. I don't know what to think.
4.a. Will they release regular Chompy Mage in a single pack?
4.b. Will they release the rest of the creation crystal molds?
4.c. Will they release Heartbreaker Buckshot?
4.d. Will they release new adventure packs to stretch out year 2?
4e. Could they even patch in New characters in DLC?

I'd like to see Heartbreaker Buckshot and the remaining crystals, but I honestly don't expect them to be released... so I'll just consider it a pleasant surprise if does happen.

Someone said in the comments this doesn't spell the end of the stores, but I think it's safe to say they will be less willing to get TTL and stuff that isn't selling as much as whatever new toy is hip with the kids.

Well... One less store to get exclusive Amiibo, I guess.

Doesn't mean they'll close, it's a "Chapter 11". Meaning it's likely going to be more of a restructuring than an all out end. They're probably makes deals and partnerships with other companies to keep going.
