At least it looks like the font they use for all the letterings on packagings.
Probably a coincidence, but better than nothing I guess.

I think Kirby would've fit in the Skylanders universe pretty well.

I never understood why vv did that.

Because they had no choice, Nintendo was the one behind that, it makes sense why too, as they own the characters. On top of that, I suspect Acti was the one who wanted the partnership with Nintendo for the Skymiibo and VV went along with it.
