There's really no point in dedicating time in a press conference mostly dealing with brand new titles to DLC. (I know they mentioned the DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn, but that's a console exclusive and also a breakout hit.)

As for the potential of a Spyro remaster, I've mentioned this before, but I'm guessing they're waiting to see how the Crash remaster sells before announcing anything. They're probably quietly working on it now, but preparing to downplay it or even cancel it altogether if Crash bombs.

So, is E3 open yet, we should get confirmation on some stuff soon

Very disappointing, at least I have the knowledge of Hex potentially being relevant in Academy, so that keeps me in the fandom.

As much as I really wanted Year 2 to happen I kind of had a strong feeling that it won't...just because it won't get them much cash.

Well, honestly, as I see it, there're several posibilities:

1. That Krakatoa image is fake, and that's all.
2. All the leaks and rumors are fake and there isn't such a thing like "Imaginators Year 2". CTT and LIM are the added content Activison talked about in february.
3. All the leaks and rumors are true, but Skylanders PR denied everything to keep the "surprise" and because everything is still under development (they were told to shut up).
4. 1+3

Till further news (true ones, not that vague twitter statement... although for Activision that is "true news"), we're still at the same point we've been since the release of the game.

Earlier he told me that Krakatoa was confirmed to be fake. He has since informed me that Activision has said absolutely nothing about Year 2. We aren't getting news at E3. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Year 2 at this point, but it certainly doesn't look good.

Has there been any clarification on the Barbella lightcore recently?

Although I felt like it was yet another fan made item (plus I wasn't aware she was popular enough to even consider a light core), it seemed realistic enough to have me question myself about Imaginators season 2 or whatever we like to call it.

But honestly I had no real hope of Sky 7 or additional Imaginators content. I'm still expecting a few year vacation for the franchise and then a reboot. If I'm not mistaken, the Sonic Boom cartoon still lives on for whatever reason despite no games and next to no toys to sell for that franchise.

"We are not talking about this", "can't say anything right now" and not a single "but don't worry, you'll see something *insert event or date*", the series is fine".
Being secretive isn't fun or exciting if you aren't hiding anything.

It's Sonic the Hedgehog. Every few years since the 90s, they'll release an animated series that runs for a couple years before getting cancelled, then a couple years of nothing, and then a new Sonic cartoon again--I remember him before "gotta go fast" and his chili dog obsession. And while you may say "next to no," there are still actually toys, comics and other assorted merch for it.

There are also 2 Sonic games coming out this holiday season: Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania. Just because they aren't branded with "Boom" titles from 2014 doesn't mean they aren't going to increase awareness of the animated series.

Oh, absolutely. Activision's marketing/PR team is among the worst in game development, and they somehow manage to get worse with time. I don't even.

Their rushed development cycles lead to a fear of over-promising, but keeping their mouths shut leads to fans losing interest. If they were relying on ANYTHING but Call of Duty to keep their **** floating, they'd sink in a heartbeat.

Please, Activision, keep telling us how many poligons are WWII's helmets made off, but don't you dare talking about Skylanders and the yet to be properly released figures.
It's not like customers would like to buy them.

The last sentence was about them being secretive and silent at any cost, even when it damages them rather then producing positive outcomes.
Of course they are not responsible for the rumors and fakes, but if they cared more about informing us, then maybe we wouldn't have believed in them at all.

I am curious as to what Eric meant by "in other way" when referring the the Future of Skylands (God I hope he wasn't talking about Academy). I would love to see a story driven RPG with no toys just story and characters to keep interest alive. It seems like such a waste if they walk away from it now but this is Activision we're talking about so who knows. I've kind of moved on but still keep tabs on the franchise. I'd hope for the best but expect the worst.
