Wait until the end of the week, E3 has not actually started yet... if nothing is revealed by then, can we please agree to accept the 4chan leaks were fake, Year 2 is not happening and stop going crazy over any tiny hint that may give the impression something is coming?

I wouldn't go that far yet. I honestly was (and still am) pretty sure they'd announce it tomorrow TBH. If it isn't tomorrow though, that's bad news for sure.

Them being at Sony's conference was just an assumption, but mostly in case they announced something Spyro-related.

Will be hard to keep hoping after E3 is over, though.

Even if nothing is announced at E3, is there a chance TfB could randomly decide to show new content on any given day later? I'm don't mean to be an enabler for those who hope for the tiniest of chances, but I'm just saying, just because they don't mention it at E3 doesn't mean it's completely done for.


I am however interested in knowing where that Krakatoa picture came from though. If theres no announcement of anything then the creator will have to step up to show how they did it.

The leak would be fake though, so that would mean no Krakatoa and Void and no Lightcore Senseis (that's fine).
Guess they could show the new content at GamesCom instead but we wouldn't have any clue then.

Still, I'm very positive about an E3 showcase for various reasons.
Let's hope it was all true.

That being said, Rob also said that he's confident we'll see more content for Imaginators, since that's what Activision stated.

Just to view things a bit brigthier, I guess they could be hiding it or Activision PR simply didn't knew about him specifically and was only aware of more content for Skylanders in general.

Honestly I don't think this means no Sky 7. Academy has 2 more seasons and frankly I don't see them not dragging out the franchise until at least after season 3.

I love how the Year 2 discussion thread has already been closed down just because Krakatoa was (obviously) confirmed fake, but there's still an actual chance that new Skylanders info will be available during booth interviews over the next few days because E3 actually starts today.

I also love the people flipping out and wishing harm on the "modder" who faked the Krakatoa image (still pretty positive it was just Photoshop of an Imaginator). Your gullibility is not their fault, so take it as a learning experience and keep your head on straight next time.

I cannot excuse someone who purposedly makes fakes to let other people believe in something which doesn't exsist, and that goes for any media.
I'm not wishing them to suffer or things like that, but in the end we are looking at people so insignificant and frail that their only way to be entertained and feel "important" is deluding others.

We've gotten so used to Internet-only archetypes, like trolls or fakers, that we can't even realize how pathetic and laughable they actually are anymore.

TBH, it was a bit drastic, but not to be mean, but Buuzer has made some choices with out thinking it through before. I think opening it again until, say, the end of E3 or even end of the day would be ideal. We still might get information, even if unlikely.

Also, something I don't think it's that much worth mentioning but whatever, the Lightcore Barbella leak stated that Krakatoa resembled a "volcano-Cthulhu".
Now that at least the image has been proven fake (assuming Rob shown the Activision PR it when asking about it's legitimacy) I have to admit that model didn't looked like a Cthulhu-like being.

Was originally assuming he had tentacles under the crest but would have they been clearly visible on the figure, if that were the case?
Looking at him that definition is definitly not the first thing which comes to my mind: more like "volcano-gorilla-triceratops".
Same goes for the tail it was said to have: the model had one but it wasn't very prominent and didn't look like it could shoot lava out of it at all.

What I'm asking is: could it be that the first leak is actually real but the second is not?
That someone saw the occasion to troll, since 4chan is an anonymous site?

thats interesting theory, i am no expart on lovecraftian lore but i know that cthulhu dont look like this fake "karakota". i am still pessimistic about year 2 but i will wait a little longer just in case...

But, just as I expected, the Sony E3 conference came and went which was supposedly the "last chance", and the dedicated still haven't given up the ghost on "Year 2" ... nothing short of them specifically saying "there will be no Imaginators Year 2" will stop that belief in some.

I still ask if they cant just announce a new game or whatever at some other point this year.

Still, its pretty sad that the videogames are ending. I suppose it was finally time. I just wish theyd at least remake those first three games and put them on newer consoles.

There are new guidebooks, a quarterly comic series, coming, in addition to more products that have yet to be revealed, per the press release following the Las Vegas licensing expo. There is a mobile game in 2018 which was confirmed in some article Skyfan found, to interact in some way with the figures. If that's the case, then the app would be interacting with figures that, at the newest, were a year old, and were not sold anymore. Why would they do this? I'll dismiss the Business Insider article because it isn't really that credible, but these other things seem to suggest otherwise. I'm referring to CTT and LIM. The flaw in your logic is that no, you cannot prove or disprove God, but that is a faulty argument. You cannot disprove a negative, which is why that line of argument is considered intellectually dishonest. Conspiracy theorists use it all the time to argue chemtrails, vaccine injury, reptilian overlords, alien invasion, etc. I'm not trying to be mean to you, I'm just trying to explain how easy it is to think that is a "both sides" argument. Honest debate places the burden of proof on proving something does exist, not that it doesn't exist. Because otherwise you can make the argument that anything exists based on not having counter evidence.

At this point, every avenue for them to reasonably announce new figures or levels has come and gone. There may be other products (and the CEO's statement makes it clear that is what he has in mind), but new console games or content would be announced at E3 - and almost certainly NOT just by a floor display. He wouldn't have been secretive, he would have said "We've got some more fun for our Imaginators fans out there this Fall with some additional content". If there was new stuff, that was the time to bring it up.
