Chain Reaction looks like a Skylander 100%, don't be saying silly things. Drill Sarge is back from SSA and it's the obvious inspiration.

I know about taste, I mean the designs. Murchie and I-Wei have a very distinct way of doing theirs and it goes from how their machinery looks to the shapes, and though SF dropped that, the SuperChargers also picked up on.

It's hard to specifically talk about detailed robots since there aren't many surprisingly, but with most of their ladies it's pretty obvious. You can grab any of the humanoid waifus and you know they're from this game because they're drawn with the same things - puffy cheeks, tiny noses, huuuuge foreheads, copious eyeliner if they have featureless eyes, thin eyebrows.

Enigma , Tae Kown Crow , Golden Queen , Wildstorm , Kaboom , Krypt King , Knight light and a lot more don't look very Cartoonish...and look like they can come from other games and don't look very skylanderish . ( I'm just stating my opinion )

Tae Kwon Crow looks like every other bird that Murchie designed, GD fits the waifu characteristics, Krypt King has always been super Chop Chop. I'll say it again, design, not feel.

Main problem tho, even if Krakatoa is real, he's definately not designed by them. They'd give him the mother of thick feet and nicer transition from arm to wrist and shoulders.

Maybe they are both trying something new.
I wouldn't be against a different artists, as long as I-Wei and Murchie are still in the team: after all both SWAP Force and SuperChargers have already been quite a change.

Anyway, checked all the non-villain Senseis during their magic moment and also got through a few in-game images; none of them has a similar belt to Krakatoa's.
They are either long and thick (insert Aku meme here) or short but thin: his is quite long yet rather thin, fits him well in my opinion.
Of course they could have altered it but my impression is that it's unique to him.

for some reason I completely skipped Buuzer's analysis from the previous page.
Agree with everything (nice catch with the yellow parts on his back), would like to add thet if they modded a model then it's a Sensei, not an Imaginator: the magic moment is slightly different and it's so barely noticeable that I doubt they thought about that as well.

EDIT 2:
just one last thing I forgot to mention.
His left arm in the picture seems to have a slightly different texture: the right one seems to be made of simple molten rock, while the other looks like it has a more pronounced crack.
Maybe his design is not as simpke as it may seem, or maybe it's just an effect caused by the movement blurriness.

Mini update: I was told earlier by some friends on skype that there was a comment on the official Instagram account about Krakatoa and the comment was apparently removed by the official Instagram. I don't know who the comment was from though since I have not seen it

Just to play the Devil's advocate, what are the chances that Krakatoa is actually a scrapped Sensei from early development?
Unfinished look, Imaginators-like label... Would make sense.

Maybe the 4chan guy went to Activision for a visit, and got to see unused concepts (like Lightcore Senseis) and designs.
Then he either greately misuderstood what he were told or simply seeked some attention.
Maybe Void simply doesn't exsist and the leaked image comes from an old b-roll they gave to the visitors as a special gift.

Or maybe it's just me trying to come up with weird negative hypothesis, because this is looking more and more real to me each second that passes and I simply cannot accept it.

I'm just trying to consider both the positive and negative possibilities.

Crusher gets a good clash with his green, silver and blue(or whatever is in his belt), it kinda alters your perception of the dullness in that color I believe. Krakatoa doesn't have enough in the magma veins to make it pop.

I changed my mind because I keep thinking about pros and cons towards this image being true, instead of simply arguing: I find it quite stimulating.

But I understand why it may be tiring, after all we aren't actually speculating, since we have little material which we aren't even sure about.

I think we will be getting an Imaginators 2.0. And I do also think that Krakatoa is indeed real. But I also think that picture of him is fake at the same time.

I dunno, but I kinda agree with some of the things being said against it being real. If the "Fire Brawler" is just a part of an earlier build, then why would they be showing off a new character supposedly for a new update to the game for a build that early in development? And also Krakatoa's design overall just doesn't really scream "Skylanders" to me, let alone Sensei Skylander. Yeah I know he's got the belt, but where's his armor? Senseis also have black and gold armor. Plus the fact that the OP doesn't provide any sources or anything is kinda suspicious to me.

The suspense is killing me. And the storm of speculation. I'm not getting hyped until imaginators 2.0 is confirmed.

The problem is that if Krakatoa's image is fake, then so is the Barbella leak, since they have been posted by the same guy (even though he did it by using an anonymous account, so he could really be anyone, but let's not speculate that much).

I agree, a lot of him seems unfinished, but I definitely wouldn't judge a character from a single image with weird lighting, while doing a pose which basically prevents us from seeing his face and a good portion of his body.

I said "very rarely use the color gray as their main color", meaning there are some rare exceptions when it makes sense (ex: Silver Surfer). No need to bring up more exceptions in an attempt to counter the argument.

Considering the fact that it's an expansion and not a new game I expected this. Before everyone jumps to conclusions and scream doom and gloom please take into consideration that it'll most likely just be b-roll footage and nothing more. No need to have an entire section at the booth for DLC

TBH I never expected them to have a booth. I've always assumed they'd show a trailer at some other event, probably Sony and send out information to various YouTubers. This is not proof of anything. When E3 arrives we will have proof. Until then, we have none.
