Hmm. That's interesting. I estimated a while ago that we'd get around 4 or 5 level packs, with 2 characters a piece and a creation crystal if Year 2 was real. This actually kind of supports that theory. Of course, they could end up just being like the Yawn traps, but I prefer to stay optimistic.

I'd honeyly prefer if they weren't Senseis: less design and gameplay limitations.
But I do feel the lack of the third Bazooker and Quickshot.

Saying the franchise is dead is more of an negative statement. We know that it's still going in 2018 with the new mobile game and a 3rd season of academy so no it ain't dead yet

to be honest at this point i just want answers about this 4chan ****. i am just tierd of the speculations and fake hypes, all i want is one simple answer: if there is no new game this year, then what will happen now?. the worst part about this "no new game this year" staff (besides the obvious) is that right now we are entering to unknown territory. this never happend before to skylanders, we have no idea what will happen now. if we will get "imagnitors 2.0" it will be graet but if thats not the case... well we still have academy so i guess its some sort of consolation. and i am not saying that sky 7 will happen in 2018 but i would love to know if it will happen someday.

but the console games are most likely done for.

and zap yes the console is not in a very good state right now, but never close the option of a console game in the future. academy might help the franchise to gain some popularity, sanse we all know that the show is preety successful, and thats not me that decided that its netflix.

But for the exact same reason no one has the right to say that the franchise is dead.

Either way that's our deadline for that specific leak, no doubt about it.

On one hand a Season 2 would be guaranteed profit, but in this day and age were expectations easily go over the top...I dunno.

Ya'll keep talking about senseis though and I'm like...real spit...screw new senseis, give us expanding content, not a singular level/expansion.

Yeah, well, we talk about new characters because they were specifically mentioned in the leak.

If it turns out to be true, and the Q4 Adventure Pack does as well, nothing stops it from having more than one level (especially if each character will have a Soul Gem) or being the first of more to be released up to 2018.

After all, the potential leaker stated how no one was allowed to take photos or make videos, which would further explain why we only got that image.

Guys if there's no embargo, there's no content. Unless it's a 100% surprise release(or they gave up on the youtubers which is unlikely), you can't do anything without contacting the press these days. Even if the Barbella leak is real, it's a regular office visit where they had that out.

Well it is E3 so yeah a surprise announcement is very likely. As for youtubers, as I said earlier they probably don't want a repeat of last year (heck today is even the day it happened) I think that all youtubers will get now is just some press release and B-Roll and that's it. Aside E3 of course

Just because he isn't under an embargo doesn't mean there isn't one at all.
They could have simply not invited the familiar faces because they truly wanted it to stay a secret until E3 like SkyFan suggested (I still think the Barbella picture itself might be more like a teaser rather than a proper leak) even for them.

But they have no reason to stay hidden. Even if Acti is horrible with marketing, they know a 2.0 announcement will just get some eyerolls from the general public; it'll convince fans and fans alone. To maximize on that they need to use the youtubers, and at least until they went silent, they were using them a LOT to get word of mouth going.

I didn't mean it's unused, I mean maybe some press was doing an office visit for something else and they happened to have the figures visible, remember Knight Light where they had the prototype on a shelf by accident and Skydad focused on that more than the actual office.

I just want E3 to happen. Then we can at least have an idea of what to expect. I'm tired of speculating and I just want something concrete. I want a straight-up answer about the future of the series. If we get something (which I really hope but honestly doubt at this point), that's great and we can all celebrate. But of we don't, we all have to accept that Skylanders is probably dead (at least for the time being) and move on with our lives.

I don't like all this talk about "what if...." leading to arguments. I just want to know so this whole situation can be cleared up.
