Yeah all of the Gamestops near me have moved the skylanders stuff to a little display podium and just sorta crammed them with whatever lego dimensions figures are left too. Only the Best Buy and Target around me have the Skylanders in an actual aisle, and even then, they have to share the space with Amiibos

I also agree with you. For me, it's more about if rather than when. They wouldn't cancel it if something was already on the works. The real problem is if there's actually something being made.

As far as Activision is concerned, they don't owe the fans anything; the fans owe them money and they aren't gonna do anything that doesn't get them a guaranteed payday at this point. It's why they pretty much just release the same 3-4 properties every year.

Good point, Drek. If they put money into a new level design, they want to make that money back.

What if those last crystal molds get yawned? I'm actually starting to think I might not care.

More levels would make a potential cancellation even less likely; didn't mention them because the most "solid" proof we have so far are the E3 Lightcore Senseis and the new characters.

Regarding Crystals, it would annoy me tremedously since I planned each Element to not have doubles, but I would eventually get over it.
Just like I got over the new bases, and the fact Senseis are big just so they can be pricier and the fact they removed cards.
All minor nitpicks compared to the potential end of the franchise: as of now I simply want more content, in any form.

they teach imagnitores, not cores. and from what we know that they are ALLOT imanitors out there so i dont think that some sensies will be left out.

This is pretty much proof that the franchise is far from dead. They would never make new merch if they weren't going to make more characters/games/levels.

I'd be more cautious.

While I definitely take it as a positive sign for the franchise, I wouldn't exactly say it's a proof that it's far from ending.
Cursed Tiki Temple and Lost Imaginite Mines might have helped it get back on track but that doesn't mean the new merchandise hints towards more new content.

They could easily use the same old usual faces for shirts, plushies and other gadgets.
But again, overall what matters is that Activision still thinks Skylanders is a profitable series, ragardless of what the future will actually hold.

Those news of EB no longer ordering stock make me worried rather than hopeful. Gotta wait for E3 to truly know.

Also, merch getting revealed at a toy show now will likely hit the shelves around the time that Skylanders Academy season 2 airs in October. It says nothing one way or the other about future game content.

Villains and Crash play their theme out of tradition, including in Soul Gems. GQ is the only one that has the Sensei theme in her intro but she plays Bedouin Feast anywhere else.

I want to be particularly skeptic and say that they might simply be referring to the recently released Senseis.

What's suspicious is that it was posted only yesterday, would have made more sense to reassure fans about their release before it actually happened.
All of that being said, this could really be our first Imaginators 2.0 proof.

Okay, this actually might be a good thing. But, am I the only one who finds suspicious that Skylanders is the only Activision franchise where they didn't said the name of one single company doing merchandise for it? They did it for Call of Duty and Crash, not for Skylanders.

I mean, by saying "supported by a roster of best-in-class partners", they mean merchandise and stuff made by other companies, not, you know, actual support of the games from Activision itself.

As some people said it, they wouldn't do merchandise if the franchise is being forgotten, but I found this strange. Maybe it's something for Academy (which is a success), maybe it's about the games themselves.
