IMO they (and trap masters, what the heck) should've been lightcore from the start. Rereleasing the same characters again "but better" in the same game is kind of redundant.

I can't see how this would be fake. But this is bad! Maybe since there's confidential information out, Activision will cancel the apparent new Seneis and the entire Skylander series as punishment! BTW, that was sarcasm.

Well, I sure am looking forward to Imaginators Year 2 from what it looks like. And with one of the new Senseis all I can think is...

I'm imagining we'll get the other 5 Doomlanders, so I feel that kind of limits Threatpack's possibilities. Of course, they could always switch Threatpack over to Tech!

I mean, I know is more a rumor than a proper leak, but it's still better than discussing our last purchases or potential villains' Battle Classes.

I don't know what it is, but I perfectly agree with what Drawdler said: there is just something within me which is extremely convinced this is true.
Didn't have the same sensation for S2 Chopper.

That figure looks waaay too legit to be a fake, so it's either an early prototype which they used to experiment with Lightcore technology or an actual repose; the overall toy looks a bit bulkier and that was definitely a thing with previous Lightcores, likely to fit the technology.
Plus, I've always felt like there were Senseis who would have benefit from that concept, particularly Ro-Bow, Ember and Wild Storm.

Regarding the new characters, OH YEAH.
Maybe "Krakentoa" would be a better name if he's really a mix between a volcano and a Cthulhu-like creature (the idea of getting such a design makes my head shake uncontrollably), and Void is just a very simple but in my opinion effective name.
I'm picturing this massive monstrous creature with a huge mouth on his belly (think about the Gormita Buconero or Guzzlord from Pokémon Sun and Moon).
Don't know about the Battle Classes though, or even if they'd be Senseis at all.

Well... This is, certainly interesting. And that LightCore Barbella either means this leak is legit, or it's just a really, REALLY good custom.
If this is true then I might even pick up the Switch version of Imaginators for it since I admittedly stopped playing my Wii U after I got it as I assume most people did.
Maybe we'll get the rest of the Doom Raiders after all......

I admit, this is kind of convincing, the Barbella figure especially. It'd be very difficult to make that pose with the current toy.

i hope we will get one of each, but for light and dark i hope there will be two (those elements deserve more respact for the love of the ancients!).

Man, this is giving me new Skylanders game nostalgia (Esepecially for SF). Kind of a shame we might not ever get it again outside of this.

I'll hold my breath for now, but that Barbella pose is actually from I-Wei's pose sketches. I recall him saying she didn't feel much like an attacker in those, so it's very possibly a repose concept.

Edit: nvm, none of the sketches have this pose.

the shops around here are removing skylanders from existence for good, and now more new figures arrives. what about being done with the game activision??... i am not looking forward to high ebay/import prices to get the last stuff for imaginators.

CMB, once you stop relying on anectodal evidence, you can probably demand better stocking for figures you'll complain about anyway for being the dreaded patch content.

Agree.

At first I was like "why a probable new Dark Skylander and then a Fire one...? Why not a Light one?" but then I realized they don't have to restrict themselves to two figures.
Actually, the fact we were told about a Fire character and a Dark one is much better: don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't have expected them to expand other Elements if they only shown a Light and a Dark character.

Guess we could also expect a couple new villains, or maybe some Elements would have a villain and others a brand new face (fingers crossed for Gulper, Luminous and Chef Pepper Jack).

How many Lightcores do you think there would be?
I think two per Element would be ok, probably one for Light and Dark.

Also, in case anyone is wondering, Void was described as a really cool alien-looking creature but his gameplay was not shown because still under development.

Not getting hype for this just yet. Seems like it could really be real or fake. I know lightcore Barbella looks good but so did series 2 Chopper.

Maybe they're upgraded to Purple Tzo Crystals? They might be combining this with Wow Pows but we'll need to see more figures to be sure.

Don't know, the 4chan post says that the S2 Lightcores work exactly like their previous forms, but they might have shown a superficial gameplay.
The color baffles me as well but it's still a prototype after all; what surprises me is that they choose to give the effect to the barbells instead of her translucent body.

Makes me think about how surprisning it was to see my Dark Crystal light up in yellow.

Anyway, the post also says "a few new Lightcores" so I'm gonna lower my guess to just one repose per Element.

If this were a fake leak, the picture would be a blurry mess of blobs with kids claiming you can "clearly" see Skylanders 7 figures and a Series 2 Ghost Roaster, along with the leaker claiming something about Malefor and a dragon AP coming up. This leak avoids every one of those tropes.

That we don't doubt, but it could still be a prototype taken out of proportion. We'll have to wait and see.

don't get yourselves all wound up.
we'll have to wait patiently and see. nothing is written in stone yet. just because there's another adventure pack coming later this year, CMB does have a point...to a certain degree. not a lot of stores are carrying Imaginators stock. plus let us not forget what happened to Disney Infinity. I'm not fully agreeing with CMB, but let's wait until we get much more concrete evidence on what Activision is going to release this year.

Don't flatter youself like that tho. Disney Infinity had only models at the time and the whole situation with Disney. We are in the dark, yes, but it could go either way with a real figure with paintjob and all. Even with stores not having stock(happens all the time and so many users here will gladly let you know every 2 months), new figures would you only show up by August-October if they're announced in June, plenty of time.

Not interested in lightcore senseis (I would have bought lightcore trap masters in an instant though), but the new figures sound promising. Hopefully they are real.

Well, it's not like Lightcores have ever had much thought put into how they light up. I'm pretty sure they just add lights at random.

No, the model is far too good and official looking to be a custom. Besides, that Slam Bam is just the S1 figure with lights in it and not completely new like this one.
