That sounds like it could work, but mixing the right color and amount would be pretty difficult. I thought color pencils might be any easy way to hide the white marks.

I wish him the best with whatever he tries. I hope your pencil idea works. I just thought food dyes because it being sandstone might do the trick.

Yeah, no doubt. It would basically be like using stain. Just be careful if you try anything...
