Anyway, I am still not yet convinced about this "new characters" announcement, but if they are truly new... OH BOY.

Imaginators has truly the potentialities to become one of the best games in the series, if not the best: thousands new parts, more levels and now more Skylanders.

I hope that they fix the body type problems and create at least one new character per element/battle class.

Not for now. They can pretty well be referring to upcoming characters we already know.

New characters AND new levels? I'm happy with that! Like, that's really the best idea they can do. I don't see anything that could top Imagina tors, to be honest.

I can definitely see them doing 1 new sensei for the regular 10 elements and 1 new villain for the elements. That means the other 5 doomlamders can be figures which is exciting. I predict these will be the classes for the doomlanders who didn't get figures.

I'm torn on the announcement.

They do not need a skylander game next year, but wording is too difficult to parse the true meaning.

New characters could simply mean the ones that have not been released.

New Content could simply mean "buy these $30 adventure packs".

However it could also mean, "VV is going to do some more work on the side producing new characters that would have gone into a new skylander game, along with new imaginator parts, maybe more class/archetype options, and adventure packs that add a 'series' of levels instead of one, oh yeah and the Brain wil lget additional content to cycle through to extend replayability."

We walk away not knowing anything more right now than "no new game".

And as the link mentions, this could easily slide into Disney Infinity territory (which is still a shame, I really wish there was a way for the community to take over a game when left for dead). As an investor I'd want to know how they plan to market additional content. The majority of the profit I assume is made at launch, with a proper build up and everything. Just dropping toys on the shelf won't cut it.

Call me an optimist, but this could potentially mean great things for not only the 2018 game (If they have one, there probably will considering Season 3 of Academy) BUT it also means great things for the Crash remakes, since VV doesn't have to double-down on developing two games at the same time!

We're still getting new Skylanders content, and that's fine with me for now.

Also has anybody seen Pain-Yatta I am Dying

Here in Europe (at least in Spain and the UK) is easy to get Pain-Yatta in any game shop. Sorry for you, USA mates : (

He was up in the US on Amazon for a quite a long time. For the love of all that is holy people, please stop waiting around for figure releases then complaining when you can't find them later. The same thing happened with Thrillipede. If you want to wait for better deals, then fine - you roll the dice and take your chances.
