i just wanted an excuse to share nujabes and i know you mean kids' show intro raps usually go the hip route sh hhhh. tbh i wasn't expecting the intro to be good because i remember seeing a still that looked like it and had a really boring background and posing.

Yeah, I don't mean every rap can't do a good intro, but the ones they try are always 'LOOK WE MUSHED THE STORY INTO BARELY COHERENT LYRICS AREN'T WE SO IN WITH THE TIMES'.
Samurai Jack's intro is an incredibly brief one, but it's an example off the top of my mind where it works, since it's a dark futuristic setting, and the song is driving rather than trying to be exciting for kiddies.

The only one I've ever liked is the recent TMNT one. Other than that, ALL GARBAGE!

If people saw the show for it's intro/theme song, no one would ever watch Regular Show, right?

Well, we can say that it can't reach The Nutshack levels of rapping (yeah, not a kids show but you got it).

To an audience ready to hate, intro is everything. No wonder MLP FiM has a cold open, how many people would turn away with the intro first, plot second?

Even Regular Show's lack of an intro is still an intro. Those deep notes for episode title cards are very disconcerting and you definately get interested to know what's behind them.

True. Well, hope this opening turns up at least decent. But hey, the actual show can start before the intro (like Gravity Falls).



Also, funny how people say that openings from the 90's were better even if 70% of them were cringe raps. Sure, there was some good ones, but it's still a example of nostalgia googles.

Right, but, as much as anime openings are great, they have always a similar music style. Western has a little more variation.

Ugh. There's some bad PR themes, but that is easily the worst. Hell, the whole season was pretty horrible.

Some of the episodes looks a little wierd but then again the makers of the show were the ones of futurerama, where the wierd episodes were the ones that were not wierd at all.

Anyway, anyone ele notice that when Spyro goes to the Hall of Relics, he only mentions Giants, Swap Force, and Imaginators, but not Trap Team? And considering we see Trap Masters, but none of the other guys, I guess this confirms Trap Team characters were barely on Earth before the game starts.

Watched the first six episodes and I really like it, even the theme song. Stelath Elf and Spyro are my favorite characters so far.

Gah, I wish I was able to use Netflix, but my trial expired ages ago. I don't typically like to use those shady cartoon websites, but this show may just pull me in again like Steven Universe before I had cable.

It's pretty good, I think it might even be worth getting one of those subscription cards(dunno if they have single months). I definately like it more than I liked Sonic Boom or Miraculous Ladybug as well, the humor and the pace are right on time, though the action varies.

But yeah that line from EP02 is straight up a sex joke.
