Clearly, Skylanders is a desegregated militia.

I am joking, but you should know that there legitimately are fans who hated her inclusion solely because she's a human, and not simply because she has a boring design.

In fact, i think that comprised of half of the backlash when she was revealed/leaked.

TLDR: Some people had legitimate complaints about her design, but this satire was directed at those who felt like her design was bad because "a human has no place being a skylander"

Kaos isn't exactly human himself, since he calls us "human fools" back in SuperChargers.

So mabey eon and kaos race are look like humans but they are not, which mean aurora is not a human at all, mabey they are like time lords or somthing.

I like the fact humans can be skylanders. That means that, in another dimension/universe, all of us could potentially be skylanders.

We would need some training though, and establish good contacts with the Academic staff as well as Eon.

And what about the chompy mage? Is he a human or one of the "sky lords" (eon, kaos and aurora race).

In Trap Team, Blobbers mentioned seeing the Chompy Mage possibly having a tail.... So..... nope.

Blobbers was going off of Buzz' joke. He doesn't actually know, which is why he ends with "if he has a tail I didn't see it". However, Chompy Mage has huge teeth like Kaos, while Eon's and Aurora's difference to normal humans is only four fingers instead of five.

ill admit im not a fan of her design, havent played as her yet. if gameplay is boring she goes to the back of the shelf. honestly the weapons are cool its just the helmet that is ugh, and i guess the giant eon face on the chest.

I honestly don't mind human Skylanders.
Aurora looks cool.

Chompy Mage's backstory also mentions he was born inside a Chompy Pod, "at least that's what his Chompy Puppet says".
I'd say there is definitely something special in him, considering Chompies are agressive towards anything which moves.

I have nothing against her or other humans-like character in particular: it's just that Kaos is the main villain and Chompy Mage is my third or second favorite Doom Raider, while Aurora just looks like a boring human warrior with nothing special to her (even if that does make her special, among the different Skylanders).
That being said she looks extremely fun to play as, and that's what matters the most.

I prefer human characters also why I was so hyped for Imaginators was so I could have a cast of human characters to play with.
Had it not been for creating my characters Aurora would have been my favorite character up till this point..
I have no interest in playing as the animal/monster/furry/lizard/etc. characters.

I like what one person here said to me a few months ago about these games allowing choice of what you want to play as. However how much people want to cry when a "human" character is made a skylander has been a bit annoying. I don't want TFB or VV to avoid making human characters when they want to.

I honestly don't care what species a Skylander is, I still enjoy playing with them.

It's not like I hate Aurora for being a human, I just think she is bland in every way. Chill has a human-like design and they still gave her interesting attacks and weapons. Aurora just has generic swords and generic light element attacks with Eon's face slapped on.

While I haven't had a problem with it in a long time (and in fact really like Aurora and her visual references to Eon), this was a legitimate concern of mine around the beginning of the series.

I was a little weirded out by the elves initially, since they stood out as humanoids in a cast of monsters. But at the same time they were elves so I could let it slide.

But then Giants came out and with it, Chill. I was all like: so what separates her from the likes of Eon or the human Portal Master from Earth? Why does she only have Water elemental powers while Eon and I have the ability to summon elemental creatures at will, amongst other special Portal Master abilities? And isn't it a bit creepy that I'm controlling another human's actions like she's some random monster like the rest?

I guess Aurora opens another can of worms because, being Eon's niece, she's definitely the same species as him. The others you can claim are different species that just happen to look like species capable of being Portal Masters, but with Aurora you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she's the same.

So... why is she a Skylander and not a Portal Master? Why couldn't she resist being turned into a toy like the real Kaos could (his clone must be somewhat different since it got stuck that way)? Why does she have an element? Do WE have elements? Her very existence as a Skylander really brings up a few questions. And as always, it's weird controlling the actions of someone who could very well be just like you, lore-wise.

No amount of royal blood or species decides a portal master, you are or you aren't. She isn't a portal master because she never will be as far as the lore knows.

Well, despite being part of a Portal Master's family, doesn't mean she could be one. Her mother/father likely weren't one either. Blood line or wealth has nothing to do with it. It really is random and rare. For Kaos and his mother (and possibly, if not likely, father) They're special as they were granted Portal Master powers by The Darkness


We don't obviously, as all Living beings in Skylands are aligned to an element, even NPC's like Flynn, Sharpfinn and Tessa. She was just in Light as that's what she fits in best with and is the most Portal Master element next to Magic.


As for controlling her? Well, canonically, you're just summoning the Skylander, not controlling them. Every decision you make while playing the game, is pretty much what the Skylander decides to do.

That gives me an idea for a topic...

A Portal Master doesn't control a Skylander, he just calls him by the Portal of Power, like a general with his army (humans do that too).

Also, Skylanders aren't mindless monsters who are controled. They think and act like us, so, in the mind aspect, everyone is the same.

Also, it's said that Portal Masters are chosen randomly, but Skylanders can offer their presence or be chosen by the Masters. Aurora wanted to be a Skylanders because she wanted to fight by herself instead of control her own Skylanders.

The Elements are, as they always said, connected to every being in Skylands, so humans that live there have an Element too. But people on Earth don't have.

I only hate Aurora because having Eon's beard as a loin cloth is creeeeeeepyyyyy. Terrance and Phillip have a word for people like her.

I just wonder what's color her hair is under the helmet, assuming she even has hair. They tease us so with head covered characters like Hex, Bat Spin, Star Strike and Chill that it gets annoying after a while. At least there was a reason for it this time, right? She was trying to hide herself from Eon's notice or something (I've not really paid that much attention to her backstory as of yet).

I'm curious as to this human thing myself, but it's not a big deal to me at all. She's just another character to enjoy regardless of her species. I've given up caring about cannon and I just go with the flow if humans can suddenly become Skylanders or whatever. Life's easier if you don't sweat the small stuff.

Have you seen Chompy Mage's legs?
I'm PRETTY sure that's not part of his costume, as it's much more realistic than the "rest" of it. It's clear as day that he's half something, and moreover, something green if you own or see his toy, or look closely at his CG model.

I will admit that I didn't like her because she looked human. Then I played her, and it turns out that she's awesome.

I still refuse to make a "human" Imaginator though. I always felt that the only humans relevant to Skylands were us, the Portal Masters. We "control" or "teleport" the Skylanders back to Skylands and organize the troops to lead the fight against what ever threat is the current big bad. That just feels weird if the Skylander is human...imho.

Isn't Neo Cortex human? I have no problem with humans being skylanders, I might have a problem if they made a game where half the cast was human or something. But as long as humans don't surpass the amount of dragons we have (and we have a lot of dragons) I don't see a problem.

Technically, yes, Cortex is human (I think).

I LOVE Aurora. Her sword swings are super powerful and quick, and her Flash Dash is insanely quick, I mean, she's so fun to play as. I don't get the hate for her.

My favorite Skylander is Hex.

I don't get why they hate Aurora while there are so many characters that look 99% human.
