If you have successfully completed the Lair of Kaos' Battle Gong on Expert Difficulty, which Sensei did you use and any tips in strategy, tactics, or hints?

I used golden queen, set up turrets and keep moving and firing. Eventually everything will be dead.

Thanks! I have tried that strategy but the casting of the turrets is SOOOooo slow ... I probably also lost patience and tried to fire at the turrets versus moving too :-P

I was able to only do it with Mysticat and Wolfgang so far. Just throw the clones and sneak out if to many bad guys get personal as mysticat. For wolfgang just set up in a corner and keep on setting your speaker turrets and fire away.

Awesome! I do not have either of those Sensei currently, but Wolfgang will be here tomorrow, Wednesday, so will try it then.

I used Kaos and kept a steady distance from the enemies while spamming Doomlanders, ranged attacks, and occasionally Doom Hands. It was hard, I barely survived. My advice would just be to use whatever Sensei can summon minions of some sort. Kaos and Krankcase can summon them pretty fast.

I used Air Strike on nightmare to dash around and do damage. When the big guys show up, use Sky-Cheese. May take a while though.

I can't even complete it on Normal difficulty.

Put it on Easy

the only gong battle I had trouble with was the one in dragon temple, killed all my senseis first runthrough

Hint: On his summon-based path, he can summon 3 guys at once and six guys in total.
He's also a Villain.

You play keep-away whilst using your summons to do most of the damage, when you're sky chi gauge is full, use it, and shoot at your enemies when you're a safe distance, it'll power up the summons if they get hit too. So it's a win-win!

I used a fully upgraded Mysticat. I used the third attack to quickly run and get behind enemies, while also having my copycats do a lot of the work too. It was close, but he still pulled through.

I wish they had a "gong battle" section within the hub where you could play the ones you've completed in level over again (or in succession)--would've helped on content replayability.

Dr Krankcase - spawned minions and just avoided getting hit. Occasionally fired from a distance but mostly just threw minions and ran and hid.
