I´m about to start the last story level and i have 2 empty crystals. I know what i want to create but i lack the items (mostly heads)
Does anyone know a quick way to get these imaginite chests or do you just have to play the game and hope for the best?

The only thing that is permanent is the class. You can go in and edit your imaginator (change heads etc.) at any time

Undead Sensei Realm shoud be nice for farming Chests (i only here these i dont try it by myself).

Other nice way to get many Chest is the Well near Mags.
You take the Airplane near the Well taking the Barell than you takeing 2 Rails and you are back on the same platform run to the well you can get 2 Chests and some Gold.

On this Platform you often find Enemies patrolling so you can get quick a bonus Chest for every group of enemies you find.

This Platform also got the Arena if you go in a play 1 Round and leave again (maybe you can only enter and leave the Arena, without fighting), the well will be back, so you get again 2 Chests you can repeat it again and again.

I often get 3-4 Chests in 2-3 min. with this way.

Speedrun the undead sensei realm. Can be completed pretty quickly and you get 3 chests at the end every time.

the layout is randomized so you are going to have to search for the door to the end each time though, so completion time varies but generally it's the fastest time to chest ratio

The Well outside of The Golden Arcade:

Take close AirShip Up
Grab Bomb
Rail Down
Drop Bomb at Well
Drop down Well
Grab two chests and the gold
Enter The Golden Arcade
Exit The Golden Arcade
Repeat

Slow characters ususally don't make it in time. Try using something like Starcast, or if you wanna be really sure Stealth Elf.

As Deja Vu stated, use a Skylander with a dash. If you are still unsure of which one to use or having problems, try your Fire Crystal Imaginator's Elemental Power "Burning Dash" (its the very first Elemental Power). That should get you there with time to spare :-)

Deflated Pop Thorn works every time.

Undead Realm.

Every playthrough after the first gives you 3 imaginite chests.

If you use your fire crystal and put the fire dash elemental attack on it you can just dash all the way to the end of the undead sensei realm and you get 3 chests
