Hi
A long time Skylander fan.
I love the idea that my son and me can make our own skylander to a limit ofcourse. But my question is :
Can you create exactly the same skylander and get the exactly the same gear in the Creator app or do they differ ?
In the app, yes its takes time to wait for chests, but if they are identical, there is actually no reason to go bankrupt :-D buying all Senseis unless ur a collector or like me want them becuase they look damn awesome.

Yes, the objects that you can get in the Creator app are the same that you can get in playing the game.
However, any characters you make in the Creator app are just for your viewing pleasure within the app. You cannot transfer a character from the app back to the game. The only way to play as a character you have created in the app is to pay US$15 for a printed card or US$50 for a 3D printed figure. You can make an instant copy of a character you are playing as on the game on the Creator app by "chirping" from the TV to your phone/tablet, but it's a one-way copy. |

I would most like to know if the app serves as the design base for textures and such. For example, will bare legs look like the in-game model or will they resort to scales as seen in the app? I would like to know what textures are 3D printed.

^ I would be inclined to think it uses the app version when figures are printed, but it'll be a few more weeks before we know for sure.
(Remember, the printing process also leaves the figures a little "fuzzy"... so texture detail will be lessened.) |

I would think the app is the best representation too. I think the card and shirt are mimicking the in-game model, but the app attempts to show proportions... Leaving a designer to believe it reflects the actual model... So why not?

How do you mean? That part looks the same in-game as it does in the app as far as I can tell.

Some parts display slightly differently, eg Alien eyes show up as Cat and some colors don't display correctly in the Creator(dark gray appears light grey most of the time).

If that first one is an image from pre-release then they must have changed them as it looks like the second image in the game.

Ok, good to know. The card and T-shirt images still look like the first one, but I guess that's a whole different issue.
