Best Buy US is even worse, still no single Senseis at all.

I think we are witnessing the carnage from the last game lackluster sales and widely available SC stock causing some serious holdback this year on carrying the game. I truly believe that's what is going on. I am starting to think that TRU will be the ONLY way I'll have a shot at getting the CCs this year, and Amazon has been my go to for figures. TRU has dozens of Legendary Racing packs on the shelves. It's kinda sad. And my Best Buy still has Trap Team and SC figures on the shelf that have been there for over 10 months. Need a wave 1 SC character? Still on the shelf. And of course Wal Mart simply didn't care last game, their shelves have been pretty much empty all of last year for skylanders. And I'm talking fully stocked, with no room for the new game. There has been no threads on this, but this has been my observations from MY locations. Best Buy's only chance at my location is if they clear out Infinity space and expand skylanders section.

I expect some blowout prices for SC starters and figures and perhaps kids will be getting SC this year instead of imaginators

Are there any non-overlapping sets that feature both the Life Acorn and the Air Wings? It'd be a shame not to have those molds for those elements since they fit so well. If there isn't a non-overlapping set then I probably won't even bother caring about overlapping crystals, I'll just go with which cases look best.

Edit: Never mind, I saw Nightmoon's picture. Obviously there's not. Guess I'll just ignore crystal shapes and go with this...

I liked the air wings at first too, but the one that has the handles makes me think of an airlock, which is cool. The fire wings look really good IMO. I thought Tech was neat in the round crystal, but earth makes a lot of sense with that plate metal casing and the uncut crystal from the air wings. It makes me think of an earth rock (like moon rock).

My favorite row overall would be the second, which conveniently includes both AP Crystals. Too bad the Starter Pack Fire Crystal isn't in it... I might give it away or try selling it, so I won't be tempted to get more than 10. Because at this point, I'll most likely end up getting either 10 or 30 (yay, extremes!), and I kind of want to save my money, especially considering the inability to reset.

Side note: The Winged Fire Crystal makes me think of phoenixes, reminding me of Sunburn, the most magnificent of the Firelanders.

That's a good point. A phoenix motif does fit Fire well, and the generator design actually works better with Tech. Row 2 is starting to look pretty good now.

Just scan through the topic, it's just 5 pages and all the info your looking for is throughout it. Except we don't really know the waves of all the crystals and pack assortments.

We don't know anything beyond Wave 3, and the information we have is limited.

Some of the packs we know of:

4 singles + bundles in which they also appear.


The 8-Pack, estimated to be released in Wave 3.

Doesn't the Water Ff Creation Crystal look completely different than a Cluster (f).
It is a bit difficult to tell from the packs listing on this page, but amazon.de has a very clear picture of the Water CC and that looks totally different than for instance the Undead cluster CC in the Triple Pack (amazon.de has a very clear picture of that too).
Or is that crystal just slightly turned making it look that different?

The angle on the physical figure is different from the artwork for some reason, but they are the same.

I'm gonna disappear from this topic since we know all the molds now, and I'm gonna just get annoyed when people use the letters in place of names. I know it's a really stupid thing to get annoyed by but whatever.

At the risk of being swamped with "do it yourself" posts, does anyone happen to have a list (or pics even better) of all the wave 1 creation crystals that will be on available on day one they could share? Wave 2 would also be helpful in case ToysRUs has them out on day one too.

I've read through most of the posts in this topic but want to make sure I'm not confusing myself. For example, the life Creation Crystal that is pictured on the Dark Starter pack with the rune/cluster design is not one of the four life creation crystals on the final pic of 31 crystals that was posted (but there is a rune/cube).

I'm getting the hero and villain bundles on Amazon, so not planning to get the figure/crystal two-packs. Just trying to figure out what to be on the look out for to get at least one of each crystal without missing any or getting duplicates. I'm guessing getting the crystal three packs and one of each single pack not included in any of the two packs is what I should focus on, but I'd love to have a list handy.

Short answer: No.

Store listings aren't accurate enough to get a proper overview over the waves.

Also, the Life Cluster does not exist as a physical figure, only a woefully outdated artwork. Before production started, they changed it to a Cube.

Since the game has now been released in most countries, does anyone have a list of the crystals that have been released. I heard even the 8 pack was released some places. How many total crystals do we have for day one?

I saved the list of 31 and I was going through checking out which ones people found on day 1 and I noticed something. Some of the crystals shapes are not right. Is there any updated listed. For example, there is an undead in a single pack that I saw and it doesn't match any of the 3 listed.

Really? Then what was it?

There are now 34 Crystals; 3 Legendarys.

I'm slowly updating it. But the Packs list of Dark52 can help you.

Going by the pack list, not a single one is different from the 31 in the reference pic.

And yes, I know about the Legendaries, but I'll update when we get high quality pictures of their artworks, since they're just recolors of Crystals already listed.

The peaked one is also a little different, with the peak being shorter than on the artwork. But Skylanders doesn't have artworks matching those designs, so it's better to just use what we have. It's still obvious which is which.

Thanks for the help. Does anyone know if the 8 pack has any exclusives in it? I am wondering if I should wait to get it for the savings and also if there is something exclusive. I also don't want to miss out in case it doesn't come out everywhere. Will it definitely be released in the US?

Out of the 8-Pack, the only one that hasn't been confirmed as a single is the Dark Crystal. But it's extremely likely to be available separately.

Just saying that I'm fully updating the list. I updated with all molds and packs we know ( I'll add Legendaries too). Adding image links too.

Idea: I have a better name for the generator mold. How about Reactor. Generator sounds too tech related.

Also, there are molds in the picture that contain a dodecahedron-shaped crystal, however they are listed as containing an oval crystal.

Yup. some stores only got boxes of wave 2 crystals, and some only got boxes of wave 1 crystals. I had to drive half an hour out of my way to get the wave 1 crystals, because the first TRU didn't have any (and the employees confirmed they didn't get any wave 1 boxes.

My best buy had nothing and same with one of the walmarts. No walmart or target had anything out and I had to ask to get stuff from the back. Very annoying day, but I did get everything eventually. Did Best Buy have steel plated Hood Sickle?

Thanks Crash10 for your list. It was really helpful to check the crystals in the store.

At my local TRU, for crystals all of their boxes were W2. No W1 boxes.

Luckily my Gamestop had W1 and W2 boxes, so I found all crystals I wanted that were released and not part of the upcoming 8-pack so I don't end up with doubles.

Ending up buying a total of 8 single pack crystals yesterday. 4 from W1 at Gamestop and 4 from W2 at Toyrus.

There were two earth crystals, the single pack (looks like a gem/diamond) and the one that came in the Gryphon Observatory Adventure Pack.
