Hi guys!
These days I'm playing Skylanders Imaginators. Great game, really!
While I was playing the level "Thumpin Wumpa Islands" with Crash Bandicoot, Aku Aku told him that his "old friend Spyro" is investigating the problem affecting the Wumpa islands.
Old friend? Only Spyro of the original trilogy and Hero era knew Crash.
Skyro is classic Spyro?

It's up for speculation, purposely made by the devs, since it has been confirmed that Skylanders Spyro and Classic Spyro are not the same. Skyro may have met Crash before he came to Skylands, but how they met was never explained in the game.

It was mentioned in the past IDW comics that Skyro's memories before coming to Skylands is fractured, since he doesn't recall facing Malefor before and only Malefor remembers their past encounter in another world.

My Headcanon is that at some point two universes (Classic and LoS) were merged together. Just a head canon though.

but mabey skyro and cynder is some sort of incarnations of the los spyro and cynder that were reborn in skylands after the event of los, and melafor some how found a way to reach skylands and became what he is now.

Classic Spyro has no reason to remember Malefor for though.

Malefor didn't exist in the classic games back then before the LoS. I was referring to Skylanders Spyro not remembering his past encounter with SkyMalefor in another world before coming to Skylands.

Cynder was born in Skylands, while Skyro isn't from Skylands but from a faraway land. Toys for Bob used story elements from the LoS to create Skyro and Cynder's origins in the Skylanders universe.

But my point is that Spyro not remembering Malefor doesn't stop him from being classic Spyro, it stops him from being LoS Spyro. All we really know about Skylanders Spyro is that he comes from a faraway land that isn't Skylands and that he's old friends with Crash Bandicoot.

We won't know until the devs point out the details. Right now, it's just speculation that "skyro is classic spyro".

it is also true that Ignatius has blended various characterizations of the two Spyro to make Skyro.
- Skyro comes from the Summer Forest;
- Comes from a line of magical purple dragons (Shadow Legacy and TLOS);

And other stuff that is not in my mind at the moment.

It seems purple Dragons in Skylands are more of just a rare breed, than LoS's Avatar line lineage
