My blue bag got me Silver one.
Green bag was a bronze one.
Purple bag gold inside. Bought it today 10 19 16 tru ohio.

Did not work for me!...I got a bronze in a green bag a gold one in a purple bag and another bronze one in the blue bag. Still need a silver chest!! I am not buying tons of these and ending up with 10 bronze chests!!!

I am in the US, and I wound up with:

Purple = Gold Chest
Blue = Silver Chest
Green = Bronze Chest


I have one more of each color bag, but I have not yet decided whether or not I will open them since I got all three chests.

I bought 2 today on the US east coast...

Purple = Gold
Green = Bronze

US - this matched mine but I only got two bags today (Purple and Blue).

Well looks like the theory is a bunk arrgh

In Australia, got Gold from Blue and Silver from Purple. It's weird that only Australia seems to follow the pattern!

Green - Bronze
Blue - Silver
Purple - Gold

I got one of each after buying all three bags. This is in the US.

What I got today in the US

Bronze = Green Bag
Silver = Purple Bag
Silver = Blue Bag


Got a gold coming with the dark edition anyhow and I just wanted to collect one of each of the toys so i'm good.

In the US, and I also got bronze in green, and silver in blue (didn't open any more, because I'm getting the gold chest in the dark starter pack).

US Blind Bags Results:

2 of each color:

Blue = Bronze & Silver

Green = Bronze & Bronze

Purple = Gold & Silver

So I ended up with 3 Bronze, 2 Silver, and 1 Gold. Ironically fitting. I think I'll keep all 6 just because of how perfectly the numbers lined up!

Mabye the color just shows that the bag has a higher chance of containing a rarer chest?

I think y'all are looking too far into this.

If I flip a coin three times and get heads each time, the odds of getting heads a fourth time are still 50/50.

Purchased one of each coloured bag, with the following results:

Green= Gold
Blue= Silver
Purple= Bronze

(Bought in Alberta, Canada)

I only bought a green bag and a purple bag expecting to get one bronze and one silver.

That's exactly what I got. Already had a gold from the dark starter.

Surprising to hear it really is random and I was just lucky.

Curious...

For People who have the DARK EDITION Gold Chest AND the BLIND BUY Gold Chest, can you take pictures of them side by side, especially of the bottoms, I'm curious to see if the Model # and other info are the same.

Another thing - do not think you're going to scan these from inside the package in any way, shape, or form... they're in a foil bag, wrapped in cardboard, inside of a second foil bag (the one you see).

And, to answer a previously asked question - the Gold Chest from the Dark Starter does differ from the bagged chest, slightly. All three bagged Chests are stamped W2169, while the Starter Chest is stamped B3160 (matching the rest of the stamps on the Starter figures). Finally, the Starter Chest is just ever so slightly concave. It *could* just be a random manufacturers defect on mine though.

This is also how I feel because just for good times I bought 3 bags; one of each colour. I got two bronze chests and a gold chest. It is now my quest to find a silver chest lol.

looks like the pattern is bust, and the chest are randomly and literally put in a blind bag.

Has anyone checked for a bump code on these packages? Other then that a UPC or a string of characters on the package could be a giveaway.

... Dude, you do know you CAN re-use those chests on other copies of the game, right?

East coast US for me. I got a gold chest from a purple bag. Might buy a green and blue bag at TRU since they have the sale and try to get the other two colors. I'm happy I got the gold for the first one.

Bought 2 blue bags and got a silver in both.

I remember getting two different colored bags on day 1 and getting Silver and Gold, though I don't remember which two colors they were.

But today I went and got a green bag, and got a Bronze. So I ended up getting all 3 with no repeats.

First I got a purple bag: gold chest
Then blue bag: silver chest
Today green bag: gold chest.

So now I have an extra gold chest and no bronze chest. Well crap.

They do not.

Today green bag from walmart a bronze. I am done I have 2 complete sets gold silver and bronze

New Zealand green bag IS Bronze, so I'm assuming we're on the same setup as Australia.
