Happy launch day to all my European Portal Masters

It's time.

It's finally time.
Now I just have to sleep for 7 or 8 hours, get throught 3 more hours of University and then I'll get this incredibly promising new game.

Not to mention I will enjoy it to its best now that we found a way to reset Crystals!

That means reviews should be coming out soon, right

I thought the review embargo was already lifted on Wednesday due to the Australian release?

Does anyone know if you are able to buy a fire creation crystal on day one?
I know that you get one in the starter pack but I wanted to make a second fire Imaginator

If not, does anyone know what wave it will be in?

Technically, the standalone Fire Crystals shouldn't be available until wave 3 (late November/early December), but apparently some stores are getting crystals early. I've heard that Target is one, but I can't remember the other... Toys R Us maybe?

Meh, still 8 hours, 12 minutes until the store opens.

Does anybody know if there's path-switching in this game?

Is Haedox a villain?

Monthly ELI5: Haedox is a notorious name in the fandom this year. He started with videos about how Crash shouldn't be in Skylanders because muh childhood, then he DID get in and he threw a hissyfit --- I mean a video about how the entire series sucks and no one is memorable and it's literally the devil because muh childhood.
We whined a bit but kinda felt like it was uncalled for after a while.
THEN he decided to made an account for the entire purpose of calling us cancer, then sicking his fans on Eric Rogers(SA's main writer) for "ruining" Spyro and his childhood(again). Apparently Eric blocked him but not after a reall embarassing retort from Haedox that "his criticism was constructive" despite the fact he subtly said in the inital post that Eric is at fault for everything and people should yell at him. Now our suspicions of him and his double standard of not dissing series other than Skylanders are justified and it's why we're scratching our heads as to why several youtuber fans get no review copies but he does.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere it seems like there are 2 variants out at launch!

Yeah, but the more he says 'don't get this game', more the gamers out of the loop will do exactly that. You get a neutral and make them like your game, this is like talking to a brick wall. Skylanders is prime proof that there is such a thing as bad publicity since our adult fanbase is 20% people thirsty for lore and 80% collectors, statistics made up. We don't have a "normal" fanbase outside of the kids because what you hear from the mainstream gaming community is:
-LEGO games are for babies
-Sonic Cycle
-Mario hates change
-Spyro is ruined, Acti is trying to get your souls with toys

And though for the first three the movement is going against it, no reason has been given for anyone to change their minds about SKL.

Krankcase. His spin attack looks really fun to grind through small enemies, and while Aurora is speedy, she seems like the blandest skylander design ever to me; regular human with regular swords with generic light attacks and King Pen's sky chi.

But Aurora is the only Light Sensei that might be available for a while since Blaster Tron isnt Wave 3... Shes also the first Swashbuckler

But on the other hand, Krankcase is one of the only 2 Quickshots and available now... Tidepool also isnt Wave 3 but Ro-Bow and Chain Reaction are...

Its a matter of whats more important, Battle Class availability or Elements?

Didnt see this posted, Not much in terms of gameplay but he atleast confirms the highest level cap so far, being 31 with all available sensei's man only 3 days cant wait!

Mike from Toy Time screwed up. His first character, a fire element, is actually a Ninja.
If it was a Swashbuckler, the symbol would be a pair of crossed swords. Ninjas are symbolized by a shuriken.

Get your battle classes right and, unlike Skylander Boy and Girl being the morons they are by ruining the ending of the game, don't be a moron or Hood Sickle will cast you into a gravity well

Would I be better off waiting a little while more to get the Dark Starter and nothing else, or just get the regular Starter with Ambush and/or 1 or 2 more CC's instead? Im leaning towards the latter since I wouldnt be forced to get a Life CC. Probably my least favorite Element for Imaginators. I could get the Magic or Water and the Air ones which are the ones Im really excited for.

First of the elements and later the classes. Because it will need any time to unlock all parts for the imaginators. For that reason I will buy the creator crystals later.

Thanks for ruining it for everyone. Thanks for not respecting that maybe this fan right here that's been around since then and others would appreciate the surprise, jerk.

Got the game, mine came with the Modded Rift Portal, and since the Rift Portal is easy to open, I decided to take a look inside to see if it was at all different from the original. And discovered that the Trap-loading chips weren't removed, despite the top being covered up.

I am quite frankly baffled by the waste of components, but at least that means I can snag those chips from the new portal and use them to make a custom figure for Traps if I want to. It would only really be useful in SSC (or resetting in SSA 3DS), but it would be fun to try making one regardless.
