O'rly??? Speaking for myself and my mild O.C.D. I will fell compelled to collect all Imaginite unlockables a.s.a.p. (at the very least the Tiger set) so the release will not make me sane. Quite the opposite lol.

Go to TRU, grab one of everything along with pre-order....quickly. Then put back what I actually don't want after making sure I can get everything I want. Or is it going to be a BOGO50 on Sunday? Once I know that I can figure out the crystal situation.

TRUs ad said 3 for $25 for the crystals and no sales listed for Senseis. I am sure the sale could change for Senseis but not confident about that one.

well usually the sales pop up at the last possible minute, not even searching for sales until thur/fri. I didn't get confirmation of TRU's sales until the day before SC came out.

If 3 for $25 sticks with crystals, then I'm only going to hunt the darks at TRU and get the rest at BB.

Toys R Us also has a deal where you get a free extra Creation Crystal if you buy the Gryphon Observatory Adventure Pack.

I'm mostly surprised they're sticking to retail price this year... they usually charge $1-2 more for standard figures and $4-5 more for Adventure Packs.

Game plan has changed....getting everything day 1.
Check Walmart, Buena Park, first to see if the rumors regarding the Boom Bloom/ Elven Tree Forest will be out. If not....
I'll head to TRU, followed by Best Buy, then GameStop.
And for those who've mentioned in their videos that there's 4 APs.......WRONG!
The Treehouse AP is actually the Elven Foresst AP. The Treehouse is the play set piece, like the Observatory is for Gryphon Park.
There's, so far, only three AP: Thumpa Whumpa Islands, Gryphon Park Observatory and Elven Forest Treehouse

My final day 1 plan:

1. Get new TV from Craigslist to be able to play in my room.
2. Go to TRU at opening and get Starcast (hoping for chase variant), Hood Sickle, the Magic/Tech/Undead 3-Pack, the Life Crystal, and the Light Crystal.
3. Go to Gamestop and pick up reserved stuff: Dark Wii U Starter, Kaos, Ambush, and Krankcase.
4. Die of hype.
5. Slowly realize that I don't actually have the game yet, and I'm just picturing how my plan is gonna play out as I'm writing this on my computer with still three more days left until the game comes out in the US.

Waiting for final list/pics of all wave 1 and 2 creation crystals so I know what to buy and what not to buy.

Already know which ones come in the 8-pack of crystals, so I'm willing to wait for that set and not buy those crystals now that are in wave 1 and 2.

How do you think I got the Light &. Dark adventure packs for TT? Go at opening when there were only 3 people, including myself.

Yeah, I always go right when it opens. Sundays at 10 are pretty great because that's perfect for when families are at church and stuff.

Because nothing ever goes according to plan...

My roommate suffered a medical emergency today, so I've been taking care of her all afternoon and evening. It is now almost 2:15AM here, and I'm friggin exhausted.

The GameStop where I preordered promised to hold some crystal packs for me, but when I checked in this evening, they'd only recieved one pack total. Amazon still hasn't even shipped my 5 and 8 packs of Senseis, and I don't have the energy to hit Toys R Us at opening time in the morning to make sure I get a Light crystal with the Adventure Pack like I was planning.

I am still looking forward to getting the game, but super bummed out that things aren't going according to plan... Guess we'll see how everything ends up in a few hours though.

My store visit of about an hour was basically me and defpally and one other gentleman....so it wasn't anything remotely close to what I used to see. If this is the "norm", then forget next year...heck I'd even go so far t osuggest that we may not even get complete shipment of the figures---and it's not like there's no precedent. It's all been complained about on this hallowed site.

It's a bit early and who knows what will happen in the upcoming weeks. I'm trying to be optimistic but it seems both the retailers and the buyers are speaking volumes. I'm hoping word gets out on the game. It's not perfect, but it the game is fun. Creating your own skylanders sounds very much like an endgame gimmick to me, so I'm just going to enjoy it.

Btw, is anyone noticing there's no Gil Grunt and no Stealth Elf? Took them a few years too long to listen, but they finally are.

My TRU had plenty out, but not everything. Had to ask for Barbella, Legendary Tri-Tip and Aurora. No chase variants.
Didn't see any triple cc packs or combo packs.
Best Buy didn't have anything out, let alone SPHS

Barbella seems fairly uncommon in general, the only one I actually remembered seeing was a chase one at Best Buy. The first regular one I have seen was in the Amazon 8 pack that arrived today, I didn't realize her skin (on the regular one) is translucent as well.

- TRU had most stuff, no wave 2 traps and not a ton of stock. Way less than any previous game. They said everything was out.
- Best Buy #1 was just rolling them out an hour after opening, no one was waiting for them.
- Target #1 had them out on pegs, mostly untouched.
- Best Buy #2 told me the game didn't come out yet, and when I showed them they got them out but said all they had was Kaos and the Starters (and this was a high traffic Best Buy). Several hours after opening.
- Target #2 had sold most of their stuff, but employee said they only had a few things - like one or two of each character and crystal.
- Gamestop had most everything, including one of the triples. That hadn't sold anything as of right before closing, when I bought the triple.

All in all, people really weren't shopping for them or pressing when stores didn't have them out. Either people don't really care or were not aware of the release yet.
