The no Sensei sales is a TRU deal breaker for me. I will just buy a couple from them and order rest from Amazon since I get the Prime discount. The big thing now will be what time they open up at (midnight, 8am, or 10am).

Wow that sucks how theres no Sensei sales. I wasnt planning on buying too many Creation Crystals until they patch in that reset button. (Because its totally happening. Please) But these deals seem perfect for people who want to buy them.

The only deal in this ad that is worth it for those of us that have GCU or Amazon Prime is the Adventure Pack deal. Also, the ad is promoting a Shopkins event for 10/23. It doesn't say that the ad is from 10/23. The ad is most likely from 10/16 - 10/22.

Yeah, no Sensei deals are kind of annoying, buy we've got sales on crystals and chests, which is good.

I didn't start collecting until a couple of months into Giants, so I wasn't around for the first two releases. This year's release is the worst by far in terms of deals. Toys R Us used to get a lot of my business on release days, but not this year. I am fairly certain we knew the deals well before this time in previous years. Toys R Us probably didn't want to leak their deals because they knew they sucksed. I am sorry ChompyKing, the deals on crystals and chests are not good and all is not right in the world. I cannot see how the lack of sales will be good for Skylanders. Sure, slappies like us will still buy the stuff, but many will skip until there are fire sales.

It's how I bought my Crash starter, but they've missed the opportunity for me to buy characters with them since Amazon has actually delivered preorder capabilities. Seriously disappointed. Looking at their SC backorder stock I'm guessing they don't feel motivated to carry the game this year....my store is still 100% stocked with SC figures that have been there for almost 10+ months.

They are physical imaginite chests that come in blind bags. There are gold, silver, and bronze chests. The give you 9 parts and are one-time use only. None of the parts, as far as we know, are exclusive to the chests. Thus, the only reasons to get them is if you are a collector or extreme impatient.

My mom usually pays the rest of the money if I am doing a deal at TRU, so I might do either the first or second deal. I won't do the third one because honestly I think imaginite chests are pointless. You could just do a run through of a small level with imaginite snails over and over to get tons of imaginite and pay nothing for it.

You physically cannot get duplicates from what I understand. The random piece drops are like the Gear Boxes from Superchargers. Once you have a specific piece, there is no way to get that same piece anymore.

That said, it still seems to be entirely random. You could be buying chests to try and get some Swashbuckler Tails a little faster and just get 5 heads and 3 torsos. You're much better off getting a sibling/child to run through some old levels for you and farm.

That 3 for $25 deal on the crystal kind of makes me think they won't have those Crystal triple packs for $20.

I understand your concern, but there is absolutely nothing to suggest that you can get doubles on Imaginator Pieces. Such a system would be utterly pointless and stupid. Again, that kind of system wasn't employed in Superchargers and I'm 99.9% sure it won't be implemented here.

I'm quite sure we won't get duplicates based on what you say, but there is still concern over having a subset of pieces ONLY unlockable with chests and then there's the use case of what happens if u happen to use a chest and you have them all.

It's all guesswork right now so I guess we'll see soon enough.
