Starcast is better. Krankcase's toy is ehhh... I'm also not that big a fan of him in the first place.

Also, post higher quality pics, please!

I really love Starcast's figure, but his gameplay hasn't impressed me that much.
Dr. Krankcase is a pretty interesting Tech character and I really love how they managed to keep his signature moves while improving his moveset.

So I'd say the Doctor wins this round (even though I will personally snatch Starcast first to unlock the Dark Elemental Realm).

This. People on the subreddit are also saying Wave 2 is the one with some errors on barcodes and street date; you might get a stern talking trying to get a Wave 1 figure.

If you like his character and play style in Skylanders Trap Team, Get him.

If you didn't care for him, get Starcast.

Another thing to consider is, there are only 2 quickshots and there are 3 ninjas.

But then again, I'm a HUGE Krankcase fan so it might just be my bias.

I'd go with Starcast. But I've never been a fan of Krankcase.
However I'm curious besides how awesome he looks why so many are interested in Starcast when he honestly seems to play like Lob-star who seemed to be rather hated in Trap Team? Though I liked Lob-star but then I also liked Headrush too.

I'm not getting Starcast because I'm getting Tae kown crow and I don't want two characters that throw ninja stars....but Starcast is better looking than Krancase and his gameplay is fun and creative so get Starcast.

To add to the pearlescent effects of Aurora, Starcast has the almost same except the Dark elements have (the beetle like effect) on his hair
