I know right?! Me too, I thought oh crap a Kaos crystal. We can make our own version of Kaos...but nope, an extra Life Crystal.

Okay. In this thread, one of the posts shows 8 crystals that I would assume are in the 8 pack. However, these look nothing like the 8 pack that was shown in the general discussion thread, so which is the real 8 pack. I do not want to get doubles of crystals, so any help would be appreciated.

By the first one, do you the one that looked like a concept? If so, I think that was the first idea, but the final product has ended up a bit differently.

It's a bit disappointing that 3 of them have the same casing (H), and that there are 3 pairs of matching crystals (e, f, h).

If you mean this.... It's pretty obvious this is just a cropped together lot of crystals that they put together using available images at the time. they probably didn't have all the crystal images when this got made by the store, it's almost correct though .

The original picture was most likely the planned pack at some point, but then they decided to use different Light and Life Crystals. The most recent picture is the more reliable one.

As far as the Life Crystal goes, they probably figured that it would be stupid having all 3 H-casings in the same pack.

Can someone post the expected real one in this thread please?

Are the magic and undead crystals in the eight pack the same or different? While they look very similar, the top of the undead one looks flatter.

Same, just the plastic casing holding the undead crystal in is covering the top

Hopefully the Dark Crystal from the Dark Edition gets a single release (or at the very least, included in a 3-pack). Would be really annoying if it was exclusive to the Dark Edition.

Yes hopefully so!

Hopefully they dont do like STT Expansion Pack of exclusive Owl Trap and Spider Trap designs.

Have we confirmed that the creation crystals share the same SKU? If so, collectors beware for a repeat of Trap Team.

To be for sure, someone would have to have 2 Designs of the same Element.
Reach out to your friends who work at retail or retail friends and ask them to take SKU pics if they're able.
I hope this isnt the case, (same Elemental SKUs) that would be insanely moronic, that would mean the company didnt take a lessons learned from the trap scenario.

I think I've finally decided at least the Light, Dark and Life Crystals, along with the Air and Earth ones of course.
It's pity because I think Gryphon Park Observatory's mold suits Tech much better and same goes for Enchanted Elven Forest's for Magic.

I do like the gems though.

So odd that the Air Adventure Pack has an Earth CC and the Life Adventure Pack has an Air CC. It would make most sense to include an Air CC in an Air Adventure Pack and a Life CC in a Life Adventure Pack.

^ I'd like that too, coz I like when things match . But they were probably just going for a bit more diversity.

Or maybe the earth and air elements are the 2 least popular elements , so they put a crystal of each in adventure packs for sale reasons.

Probably just for variety's sake, like the Battle Packs way back. The Expansion Packs were exceptions, as they were properly themed by Element, whereas the normal Adventure Packs don't necessarily match.

I do wish they'd have used Earth-Bj and Air-Aa instead, though. Those are the best fits for their respective Elements, IMO.

Hello extra Life Crystal and Trap Team's Traps to Villain ratio. LOL

At least there's a proper amount and distribution of designs this time. 10 crystals and 10 casings, divided (mostly) evenly across all 10 Elements.

Compared to 24 designs divided extremely unevenly across Elements, and not even matching the number of Villains in most cases, Creation Crystals are at least a definite improvement over Traps.

I agree on Bj and Aa being the best combinations for Earth and Air respectively.
I might be able to get them if I manage to give my cousins the Adventure Pack Crystals.

The problem is I still cannot find a way to get 10 different casings and 10 different gems (which make at least sense).
Can't get rid of the Starter Pack's Fire Crystal as they will get that one as well.

They handled this better than Trap Team but I had less problems with traps because they were just a double combination: this time we have three elements.
Might be too much.

How come everyone's just using the letters to refer to molds rather than actual names?

Because there are no official names, and there's not really an agreed-upon for all of them. Plus, it's a lot shorter ;P

On a second thought, I think I'll go with the ones on the back of Aurora's box.

I really like Dark, Undead, Light, Tech and Earth.
Magic has actually my favorite gem, even if I'm not a fan of the casing, and I can definitely live with Life, Water and Air.

I'm just sticking with the 8-Pack Crystals, the starter Fire Crystal, and the Air Crystal from the EEF adventure pack. While not my favorite designs, I'm going on a short-on-cash approach for this game.

It's harder to remember though. Me and a few other people compiled a list of names we could use. I have every known combination listed above in these names.

It's not really easier unless everyone agrees on calling certain molds the exact same thing. People have different ideas fir what they should be named.


Basic letters or numbers are better, at least until we find out if they have official names in a collection screen . .

Unfortunately Crystals have no name other than "Fire Element" or "Light Element".

Too bad the quality of those combined with the faded artworks makes it nearly impossible to tell what the locked Fire Crystals are. Would be great to have confirmation of the final Fire and Dark Crystals, as well as confirmation that Tech-b has the I-casing.

A lot of info to read through regarding crystals, just getting caught up! Where was this 8-pack confirmed? Expected release date? Also, I think the one user summed up the Day One releases quite well, very low risk of duplicating crystals across multiple purchases (few overlaps to be leery of). I will have the game in my hands tonight, is there something particular we need clear pictures of from the crystal screen perhaps?

It would be useful if we could confirm the last Dark Crystal and Fire Crystal, as well as the casing of the Tech Pyramid Crystal.


Our estimates for casings:

Tech Pyramid has the same casing (I) as the bottom-left Dark Crystal.

The last Dark Crystal has the same casing (C) as the Starter Pack Crystal.

The last Fire Crystal has the "Wing" casing (A, shared by Air and Light).

As for the crystals themselves, one should be 'e', and one should be 'j', and while we can't definitively say which is which, Fire-Ae and Dark-Cj would be preferable.

I'll just try to send some very clear pictures, where could I upload them to?

CASES DESCRIPTIONS:

Acorn-Top Casing has a nubby Acorn like appearance with a single point at the top. Bottom Casing has nubby Acorn like appearance with pillars.

Fangs-Top Casing has a smooth top with beveled designs. Bottom Casing has 4 Fang like projections.

Handles-Top Casing has a raiden type hat. Bottom Casing has Handles on the left and right.

Pillars-Top Casing has gothic like pillar constructs. Bottom Casing has gothic like Pillar constructs.

Runes-Top Casing has Runes on a cloud like base. Bottom Casing has Runes on flat curved headstones.

Shields-Top Casing has flat, long shield like fixtures. Bottom Casing has flat, long Shield like fixtures.

Spikes Down-Top Casing has Bottom facing Spikes, horn/teeth like projections. Top Casing has Bottom facing Spikes, horn/teeth like projections.

CRYSTAL DESCRIPTIONS:

Circle-Perfect spherical shape, a Circle.

Cluster-Crystal that is a bit rocky looking, like a Clustered uncut jewel.

Cube-Crystal looks like a Cube that is slanted at an angle.

Diamond-Crystal is the classic Diamond shape, upside down triangle.

Egg-Crystal looks Egg shaped.

Hexagon-Crystal looks like a Hexagon in 3D, like a Stop sign in 3D, the top and bottom are flat.

Icosahedron-Crystal looks similar to a hexagon except the top and bottom are pointed, like an Ico.

Oblong-Crystal looks like a stretched circle, an Oblong.

Pyramid-Crystal looks like a Pyramid slanted at an angle.

That doesn't seem right... Wings+Pyramid is already a Light combination.
EDIT: As expected, it was the "Diamond".

BTW, the "circle" is not a sphere at all. We've seen the physical crystal, and it's a goldberg polyhedron. Combinations of hexagons and pentagons, mainly associated with soccer balls.

Also Portal_master, your life crystals arnt correct. There isn't 2 runic life crystals, both designs have been used simultaneously to describe the life crystal in the dark edition, but the one with the Cube crystal is the real one.

The other life crystal design you missed is the spidery one ( that undead and magic have too )

The Life Crystals may need updating when we receive clearer pics, but are a total of 4 Life Crystals according to the scroll through video of the Crystal Collection Screen.
It's odd, why Life, why 4 of them. Why not a Kaos crystal where we can create our own version of Kaos.

Hahah yes, my head said Diamond, my fingers type Pyramid.

We know for a fact the Life Rune has a Cube in it. We've seen the physical figure, as well as the 3D render of the green cube. There is only 1 piece of evidence for the cluster version, which is artwork only. We've also seen the physical Life Acorn Icosahedron.

More worryingly, you've marked the j-crystals as THREE different designs. "Egg" in Air (Handles Casing), "Oblong" in Dark ("Pillars" Casing) and "Cluster" in Earth (Rune Casing).

EDIT: It was worse than I thought. Had to look through your list three times to reconfirm.

Where is the j crystal shape? looking at the first post not seeing it.

Yeah, I don't have a PC right now, so I can't update it. You can call in a mod to do that, tough.

Completed overview. Would be great having more high-quality and official artworks, but, oh well.

Made unofficial artworks for the final 3, because the collection menu captures are terrible.

Because, no offense, they are kind of long and difficult to remember...

So, how many "sets" can there be and with what crystals? If someone could actually take the time to work that out that'd be 1) incredible and 2) I've very much appreciate it.
