I was really excited by the cards and 3D prints, but when I realised they're the only way you can get your creations from the app into the game, I got frustrated by yet another money grab. Sure it's a cool one, but there is no good reason why they can't allow you to send from the app to the game. Gah, Activision need to stop crossing the line.

Just a bit of Bazooker gameplay. Its not much but its more then weve had before

On SCL, on Twitter, there's a tweet mentioning that TRU is starting to get their SI stock in, including Wave 2 stuff such as Mysticat single pack....still street dated for 10/16, though. But it's only a couple weeks for us in the US.

Pretty sure it's to make sure you can't access parts you don't have unlocked already in the game... but yeah, it's super frustrating that there's no way to sync the unlocked parts collections without uploading a new character to the app every time you unlock a part. :/

Why not just copy it down on the console by looking at how you made it in the app?

Why should anyone have to do that is kind of the point? It's clear they just want to force you down a monetisation path by making you manually create it twice. They have the tech, they chose not to implement it, there's only one reason for that.

Look at the main options menu for Imaginators. Nothing special it seems except for that Creation Crystal button. Wonder what that is? I thought you had to have a Crystal on the portal to access Creation but I guess not

Sure, I can do that, but I can't do that in bed, commuting, at work etc.

But you can do that while playing the game, the phone is a pretty portable thing, and you can save designs to the game. Besides, if you wee going to transfer designs from the game to the app, you'd be doing it while playing the game anyway.

Anyway, I agree with Wes.
I mean, sure you can recreate your Imaginators easily once you're made them on the app but it's still a dumb waste of time when you could simply transfer the character.
Plus, it's easy to find the same parts and gears but it may become a lot more tedious when it comes to copying the colors and sizes.

For Xbox One and PS4, sure, there's good phone support. But the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U have limited phone connectivity at best. I had initially suspected that they'd have some sort of Activision account that your console and phone both logged into, but that's not the case, and it doesn't help players (kids especially) who can't have their systems connected to the internet.

The method they've chosen for download--audio tones played by your system's speakers--is great for capturing your creation on your phone or tablet... but again, not all consoles have audio input support. Xbox One requires the Kinect for it, I don't know about PS4, and Xbox 360 and PS3 don't support it at all... this would be a case where the Wii U would be the only console guaranteed to work, since the tablet controller required to run the system has a built-in mic.

I just don't think it's that much of a big deal in all honesty vv

I think the reason that you can't transfer App Imaginators to the game is that you would need a corresponding Crystal to transfer it to. Where will you put your Tech Bazooker or Air Swashbuckler without a Tech or Air Crystal.

It's weird, yes, but I can at least understand it a little.

I've decided the only figure I'm going to have custom made for me is going to be a Flynn one.
Other than that I might only use the app for practice or Guest Imaginators I'd like to see as a figure (provided that's allowed and they won't deny it just because it's not their own property, which would be understandable).

Also I think this might be a safe bet that Imaginators will still be playable in future games (possibly using Cloud storage like they mentioned), because I see no reason to do all of this if they wouldn't be.

Yeah, this might be it. The video showcase lets you choose any element at the start - it's too much of a hassle to have your game check for the same data on the crystal, if they can just charge for the separate character.

What's weird is that the card and the figure can still be edited, which means they're just Creation Crystal chips on a new box.

Note that you have to open a Sensei's Shrine to get their weapon.

I wanted to use the Hex head, but it looks extremely cringey on every torso.

I have checked out the virtual imaginator creator and it did not contained the parts I want for my dark doll bazooker. (no doll head) Cannot wait for the app

The creation crystal button is for collections. Not to create things.

I personally find them really entertaining! They're cute and funny enough for me to like them. They're LEAGUES above whatever the hell last year's ads were. Still kinda miss the old ads where the Skylanders interacted with each other, but whatever.

They're honestly really, really cute. Toys for Bob are the masters of marketing Skylanders games.

Leagues better than last year, but still a little too rushed. One of them doesn't even have game footage, which kills the point of game advertising.

So when does that Creation App launch? Because some said it was when the game comes out and some said it was sooner.

Again, huge tip is, order a card, make a clay figure, and then either make it the base, make a huge square base containing it, or risk it and cut the card around the chip. Saves you 35 bucks, shipping, and you can make your figure more detailed.

Is it confirmed to ship worldwide?

when the game comes out, depending on where you are.
So some were saying October 12th however that is when it comes out In Australia, they went on to say the other two dates but ultimatly it's when the console game is released in your country, at least in the video.

This greatly annoys me but this also means I will not be playing day one. Since things don't fully unlock in the app until later it might be sometime But i do want to make 2 creations into full figures.... So 100 dollars.....ouch then there is the time waiting for them.

App looks great. love what we'll be ablt to do.

The letter from EOn you get in the mail with the character card looks realy nice.

It's a little bit of a tease though seeing as you will want to unlock a decent amount of parts ingame before designing a character you want to spend $50.

you wouldnt want to spend that much on a character you wanted to change the design of later(even thoguh you can change the design of it ingame , youd want the actual figure to represent your creation accurately)

^alot of stores catch on to that stuff pretty quick too. Theyll want a real reason why your returning, "i changed my mind" won't get you an easy return transaction.
