Will there be a strategy guide? I've looked on Amazon and there's nothing. Any news?

There's one every year, but it hasn't been announced yet if there is one.

I was wondering the same thing.

I am pretty sure in years passed I had all ready preordered the game guide and sometimes I received it before the game even came out!!

I get the collector ones and the original!!

I certainly hope there will be one. Otherwise we might not get to know late wave Sensei upgrade paths long before they're actually released...

They get progressively less inspiring each year. I'm totally fine if they skip it. I haven't bought the last couple.

They're not supposed to be inspiring? Just give you enough info on the levels and characters, even those that aren't out yet. More information are in the Portal Master Handbooks and Eon's Guides.

Well... Sorry that a strategy guide doesn't inspire you.

I contacted Prima Games last year in relation to the update digital strategy guide for Trap Team with the Light and Dark areas. They never came back to me back then but I sent them another message yesterday asking whether they are doing a guide for Imaginators and they've come back answering both questions:

Maybe someone else is printing one. Why would they stop now? Not everyone has access to getting the online version.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking/hoping is that another company is doing them this year.

The last one made was for Trap Team.

For some reason they started a similar but not as long "Portal Master Handbook" with SuperChargers.

Hoping for the Strategy Guides that it still Prima Games and they have a hardback Collectors Edition.

Probably poorly worded, but I expected the Sky Goons to come out and attack the comment.

The guides don't provide value, and they're lazy. The guide even sometimes fail at actually being a guide. My son loved the quips in the Giant's guide that made it actually enjoyable to read.

Hmm seems like the party's over for classic Skylanders annual releases. I do suspect this year's Skylanders is not one and done until next year. But perhaps it is going to the Lego Dimensions model where they will continually add content throughout the year.

Well, those were nice, but it's still an extra to being a strategy guide, which belongs more to the lore books. You should've said you wished there was more meat to the guides, that's pretty easy to agree - stuff like species and general age ranges and even personalities are left out because of the backstory limit, they should include that stuff in guides.

I have all the strategy guides. Some have a few mistakes or are not complete with all skylanders. Normally you can order them very late and only a couple of days till the release date.

I would love for them to go the Dimensions Route. Adventure packs that unlock 4 levels instead of twice a year, new characters. Maybe a full new storyline/gimmick added via patch and unlocked through a pack. Some sort of story expansion pack instead of a completely separate game. T would be really awesome.

I contacted Prima again a couple of days ago and they confirmed that they were NOT publishing a game guide for Imaginators.

I know that most don't need them or find them useful, but I always have and can't believe that no one is publishing a guide so I contacted Activision, figuring that if anyone would know if/who would be publishing a guide that they would but here's what I received back:

"Hey there... Unfortunately, we have no information on that. We apologize."

Activision doesn't have any information on a product that they would have licensed? Surprising. Or is this just a "we're not talking about that yet" answer?

If they didn't talk about this yet, they won't, there's no point in a strategy guide weeks after release when Dark and other players finish their walkthroughs by the first month. Quite a shame, with the leaks from SS it'd be useful to know upgrades early so we could get the context of some attacks.

Sadly it's not mate, I contacted Prima via FB & Twitter & email and got the same message each time "Sorry....We are not publishing a guide for Skylanders Imaginators this time."

It's too bad about the guide.

It's really rare for these types of games not to have a guide . But maybe they're doing something different this year.

Maybe they wanted to keep all the game secrets actually secret this year. Lol
