Skylanders have come in many different shapes and forms but I've seen 3 snake Skylanders and heaps of bird like charcters there's like three in this game alone (air strike king pen and tae kwon crow) also eye ball charcters

I like playing as snek, yes. Also dragens.

In all seriousness, they repeat because they usually have tons of designs that don't make it to one game but they still want to use it. So say, while making Cobra Cadabra, they probably had a spooky snake Skylander, and loved him enough to carry him over to the next game. That's how it worked with a few Skylanders at least.

TfB seems to LOVE using Chill's face on every female Skylander, including Ninjini, Sprocket, Gearshift, Head Rush, Torch, Hex, Golden Queen, Tidepool, Ember, Barbella, and Aurora. Why are they so afraid to use a different face?

...Because conveying femininity through mostly facial features (most female Skylanders characters don't have very defined humanoid female body types) is extremely hard. I mean, we got exceptions like Chopscotch, but not every girl Skylander is Chopscotch. It's just their art style!

And to answer OP's question, it's because Penguins and Crows are not the same thing, so they can still make them unique in their own right.

Like TheToyNerd said, I think the only reason most female Skylanders share similar facial structure with Chill is just because that's how they design humanoid female characters (especially when you consider Chill was the first really human-like Skylander). But yeah, on the whole just because a Skylander just so happens to be the same species as another Skylander, that doesn't make them identical. Rattle Shake and Pit Boss seem to be pretty different and they're both the same species and same element.

Chill was the first one to add the pupils.

well you got knightmare and mysticat if you want different, taurs are very very rare in video games and the few there are are centaurs so mysticat really stands out. other than that the main thing i want to see them get away from is bipeds. more quadrupeds please.

Because Hex appeared before Chill.

I really want a Minotaur and Gargoyle Skylanders...
