Y'know, when I thought about the Steel-Plated variants we could have got this year, I thought the only likely candidates were Tri-Tip and maybe Krankcase. But Hood Sickle? No way. I wouldn't have guessed that in one million years. But my golly, doesn't Hood Sickle just look amazing in those colors?

Not sure how I feel about Steel Plated Hood Sickle... I don't think he can pull off the puke green look as well as Smash Hit can.

wonder why they didnt just do a nitro hoodsickle though? that would be cool or maybe bring out a new variant called toxic were they have a green design and it can glow in the dark

I actually do like the steel plates. Im really liking this color. I just hate how it was wasted on HOOD SICKLE! But on the bright side I'll take this coloring any day over his old one.

Just Steel Plated Hood Sickle since yesterday. I sure hope we get at least one more thing today.

I'm just waiting for those gameplay videos of the other characters so I can finally decide who I'm going to get. Hopefully that happens soon.

I also feel like maybe another character will be officially revealed this week seeing as how last week we had Pit Boss. What they did seems like a nice way to reveal characters once a week. I'm expecting Tidepool but I really hope it's Buckshot or Chain Reaction that get shown.

And considering how Steel Plated Smash Hit ended up looking more radioactive green than anything I doubt Steel Plated Hood Sickle actual figure will look as good as he does here on the promotional pictures.

I'm constantly baffled at how many people legitimately care about the variants at this point... I never liked variants. I always thought them to be incredibly pointless and silly. I guess they make sense from a collector point of view to have "rare" Skylanders to collect, but I just never got into the variant hype.

I care about variants when they look like a cool color swap, like these Sensei Legendaries, or the unique ones such as Polar Whirlwind - I treat them exactly as such too, if the color adds something to the character I like. Not so much when it feels tacked on like this new one.

Photoshop can change a lot of things and they always use it to improve at least the lightning and colors of everything (not just Skylanders but with any advertised products).
