Microtransactions for me aren't cool in a DLC game, period. It's just like the ARK Scorched Earth drama - the issue isn't that it's there, it's that you're making me pay for Early Acess DLC on top of the actual thing and it's not even out yet but it's 60 dollars. SI is already going to cost a pretty penny to get, a pretty penny to create and a pretty penny to get new Skylanders for; this is abusive.

Unless it's just to pay for those useless Racing powerups, which were fine (because useless and cheap) though hilariously mispriced.

I can't say I agree with paying to reset crystals.
I don't agree with paying for parts actually. But it could be used in away to keep them making brand new parts to use maybe also adding new skills.

Sometimes it's rather annoying waiting and looking for Skylanders when other countries already have them, but I'm always glad they'll come here, sooner or later.

From the interview, which obv is in portuguese, Acti mentioned that they always had a one-year difference between releases which is weird since SC and TT never came out here - probably a way to PR spin Neoplay's failing finances. But if we're getting simultaneous release, this is very much a first, and I hope they go through with it. Especially good to fall back on to play during the first week if I can't find someone traveling to the US in time.

Wow Acti, Im usually on your side but that's not cool.

We got Swap Force, but only half of the waves.

Acti isn't at fault for once. Because they're toys and not eletronic, it's a whole another taxing mess to get them here, since Acti can't produce them here unlike game discs. With Neoplay closing over a year ago, they had no means of affording this.

This could also be a chance to boost sales once again, hoisting the series back up to glory.

Nah, with the economic crisis over here, brazilians won't help. But again, used market. Having stuff here means more people will import from the rest of South America, too.

I would cost me over 500 reais to import it through Amazon, so 400 reais is better. May still need to import Kaos though.

Amazon just isn't worth it to get the games, they tax you, it takes a long time because of their shipping method and you can get taxed again once it gets here. As much as I heard the former's practices with sellers are better, Ebay or friends always to import to Brazil, the safer the tracking the better.

Amazon has changed, it seems, a couple of years ago I heard. Yes, its extremely pricey. They overtax you. But they don't let our postal service handle things anymore. The only delivery option for Brazil is their own courier service. And they ask for the customs fee on order, so things are going faster. Amazon was my plan B, plan A is a friend, yes. I used ebay plenty, but our postal service is a mess, when they don't lose the package, they take a lifetime to deliver. Even being very expensive, the fact that my package will not be going into the hands of our postal service is a HUGE plus on the side of Amazon to me.

Hm, didn't know that. It was definately a huge hassle to sit for 2 hours waiting to pick up my Trap Team Starter Pack(can't imagine how worse it is now that there's like one place in the entire city to get it instead of 3), that's another alternative to the list.

Wow, normally not a huge fan of the Metro, but damn, they really hit them hard about the creation crystals being unresetable, and they even threw it in as a curveball after saying a load of nice things first, good job on that one.

And To be honest, 100 distinct class/element combination right from the get go sounds interesting for a multiplayer battle game . And not allowing resets would really force diverse play. But skylanders imaginators isn't a multiplayer battle game. ...

Well if I get any crystals besides the starter pack one, I guess I'll only buy ones that are bundled with senseis I want.

Honestly, am I the only one who's not bothered by the class lock? In my opinion, it's ONLY $10 (could be $15-$20). And I just plan mine out a head of time.

10 dollars is still a lot of money, with sale or used you could get several Cores and gimmicklanders with that. There's no "only" some cash when you already are on a budget.

Looking back at the FGTV 30-minute gameplay video at Gamescom, it looks like Smashers have larger muscles when maxed out than Sorcerers do. Maybe there are some more subtle changes between different classes.

Would be interesting to see comparisons of all the classes with all size sliders at maximum, minimum and half. Preferably with identical parts (aside from SBs and Ninjas) and colors for the best comparison accuracy.

I'd be tempted to say it's an objectively bad decision, but that's such a difficult word to use correctly so I'll just say it's a terrible decision for me: I want to try out all 100 Battle Class/Elements combinations but I won't buy 100 Crystals.

Maybe you need someone to write it down for you, Activision, in case you are reading: stop acting as if Imaginators were regular Skylanders, they are NOT, otherwise you wouldn't have created a different type of figures which don't have to follow their same rules whatsoever.

I really hope the Creator App will somehow fix this issue, otherwise congratulations for screwing your developers' work again.

Yes i'm still going to get lots of Crystals and enjoy creating my skylanders.
However it is still a horrible idea for the fanbase. This game is marketed towards kids and like pointed out in the interview. Kids aren't buying these crystals the parents are. Typical consumer does no research as kids don't either. As brought up in the interview a lot of kids will go into a class not knowing if they are making a mistake. It doesn't matter if it is giving you a preview the kids not going to understand, and most games do not charge you to create new characters and classes.
This is a horrible choice for the fans and the future of this particular title in the series as it will become hard to find clean crystals.

Yes I've done the research to plan out my characters. IT does not destroy my hype for this game and it's crystals. But it doesn't change that this choice has no logical reason other then a cash grab.


I hope someone does in fact come up with the hack. Wish someone/code junkies would finally come out with the skylanders powersaves/back up like they did with the amiibo's. There is no reason to feel bad about using it.

I was barely gonna use Imaginators anyway. I never really liked this gimmick because of how many limitations they have to set to make it feasible. Honestly, this is the worst gimmick so far IMO. It's just boring, you can only make boring characters. The Senseis are cool characters because they're professionally designed, not made in an extremely limited character creator.

Some people just want to test ride a class to see if they like it, but if they don't then they can swap out the battle class, but no, apparently they can't, so I really hope the Creator App can help us with the problem, because it's a really bad idea - especially for those who don't want to be spoiled and don't watch gameplay's.

I'm gonna buy ten Crystals nevertheless, becuase I want to try all Elements and Battle Classes. I honestly had set ideas for characters that I wouldn't reset after they're fully done. I just want to make charcaters that I always imagined would be cool Skylanders real.

This issue or not, "you can only make boring characters" is a bold statement when you have 20 primary moves, 40 techniques, and 40 elemental attacks. It's wrong. There'll be some moveset out there that'll be super fun or even more fun than some existing Skylanders.
But apparently, "we just don't know how good it'll be", like the fans are all stupid and haven't seen footage of most of the classes and how some have less parts. Yup, we know nothing.

Moving away from the crystal talk . I had an idea about one of the last character mysteries.....Graveclobber.

Those things above his base don't make sense coz this year the bases don't have different aesthetics ( e.g. Like splashes coming off the water bases or flames coming off the fire ones ) . Every base we've seen so far is the basic mold for each element with no extra bits.


So considering graveclobbeRs Egyptian heritage and new take on the water element, i think it's possible he might be a water/fish carrier. Not sure how that would translate to a class or whatever, but just an idea to fill the time

Dunno, his pose wouldn't fit that a whole lot, his forearms are too tiny. He could be swinging them from his fists, though.

Well just buy 10 crystals then, and put a different battle class in each crystal, because the main attacks,secret techniques,and soul gems are all the same across the elements, and you get the elemental attacks in each crystal.
and if you want to buy a few more crystals, well go ahead, maybe I will too.

I think the point all of us are trying to make is that you should HAVE to buy an extra Crystal. You should just be able to reset the Crystal and find a synergy that works... You know, like every other Skylanders toy in existence!

Dunno, his shadow is pretty visible when the other figures you can barely see anything. Even in those they'd blend in the background once you looked at it from afar.
