I'm really intrigued by these side "Adventures". I believe they have great potential and I can't wait to hear more about them in the weeks leading up to the release.
I'm having a feeling their going to be like heroic challenges. I really enjoyed those back then.

What are these "Adventures" everyone is talking about? Ilve been trying to dodge big spoilers like level and boss names so I only skimmed the acheivements page. Can anyone give me a non-spoilery explanation?

We don't really know much, but in non-spoiler terms, we've seen a lot of screenshots that match Adventure level names.

Gearshift wasn't a free pre-order bonus. Gearshift was just an extra character that was supposedly exclusive to pre orders, and was in no way free. Although we all know she just became a regular purchasable character.

Depends where you lived. In the US, she was indeed a separate pre-order, thus had to be paid for. Here in Norway, she was a (TRU-exclusive) free pre-order bonus for the game. No idea how she was handled elsewhere.

Also unlike the US, she was otherwise not available to purchase in stores until her proper release in the later wave, several months after release.

I've pre-ordered at TRU again, as they have the previously mentioned pre-order box with a few small pieces of merch and mention of a free figure (with Kaos' base and an exclamation point on the box), so I'm completely confident he's free here, just like Gearshift was.

The " adventures" are still a bit of a mystery.

They could still just be referring to regular story levels, but the achievements might suggest they are something slightly different( like quests etc ).

E.g.
Regular level achievement : complete " this level"

" adventure" achievement : Complete 3 adventures at " this location" or " this location"

we haven't had achievements like it before so we don't know. The level names don't cross over between the 2 achievements types iether so it suggests there's a reason to distinctly seperate them .

Iether way it means we have a decent number or story levels or possibly a decent amount of extra content alongside the regular story mode.

Nice find. Not my favourite way of flying, but highly original. Hopefully he'll have a pure flight power and not an attack where flying is somehow involved (like blackout and scratch)

It seems there is also going to be a "jet pack" flying mechanic. Don't remember the source for this, but it was mention along with some other crash content. I'm expecting blaster tron to have this power as well, his jet pack (or missile pack, not sure) seemed very underused in TT, they'll hopefully fix that.

It's a pity they are not addind flying powers for imaginators, at least as far as we know. The most we will probably have if the sorcerer class constant levitation.

The double tap of the jump button has already been tried with feathered wings equipped and it didn't do nothing. Flight hasn't been seen in any ofthe power lists up to now neither.

On the other hand air strike and Golden Queen (she grows wings) seem to have some kind of hovering skills, which is more than nothing.

I have a quick question regarding the preorder bonus Kaos figure. Will I get it for preorderingranted in Gamestop? I saw that Smyths here is advertising the Kaos Fig but all that I see Gamestop is offering is that lame Kaos trophy from last year...and €5 off an Imaginators figure which they are probably are gonna sell overpriced. Ugh. If anywhere else were selling the dark edition, I'd change immediately.

any idea's at when we can expect the preorders for wave 1? it seemed like trap team the preorders were right up at the start. Swap Force seemed very late other then having the adventure pack and the battle pack nearly a week after preorders for the starter pack came up.
I don't remember superchargers but it didn't seem like it took this long.

Activision/TFB (I can't remember which one) usually hold a press event the week, or two weeks before the game comes out. Usually thd pre-orders come out maybe a week before that happens.

I still strongly hope they only listed certain levels (you know what I mean); it would make sense, in some way.

Well... On the non-spoiler side of things, there are both Sensei strong zones and Imaginator strong zones, as we've seen in various footage.


Strong zone icons for Senseis and Imaginators.

One Achievement/Trophy hints at something more major, though we have no idea what it means.

In SSA they only listed the Eternal Sources Levels, and since there's only the I would hope they could do that again.

EDIT: Is this somewhat better?

I guess I was lucky, because I got my favorite villain of each element this time around. Would have been nice to see some of my second favorites like Threatpack, Chill Bill, Krankenstein, Fisticuffs, Cross Crow, Luminous and Mab Lobs, but I did get my favorite one of each element.

Congrats Luminous35, the guy says he didn't read the achievements and you just spill the beans after I did all the work to say as little as possible.

I got mostly favorites, though I reaaally don't like the element changes with zero explanation. Wouldn't be surprised if Starcast at fault though - you have a Dark Ninja, so they have to move TKC, which moves a Doom Raider, etc etc. He feels like a character that was made first things first.

Now that I think about it, it's actually great that my favorite characters are all in Wave 1. Because now I can play through the game with them and I won't loose interest if they'd be in Wave 3/4 like last year!

going to agree with Deja Vu here as I also feel the characters I want most are all in Wave 1 or 2. This is the first skylander game in which my most wanted character in this case Aurora won't be in a very late wave..
I got into the series late in Giants but at that time it would have been Ninjini, With Swap Force it was Doom Stone, Trap Team Enigma, Superchargers Bone Bash Roller Brawl. These were all characters I wouldn't start playing until I had.
Aurora would have been someone I was going to wait for, but she's coming out right away.

Meanwhile here I am waiting for Pain-yatta to even be officially announced

Same with Bad Juju, and hoping she's not the leftover at wave 5 to get forgotten by retailers; since now that's a thing.

Meh, we've seen Pain-Yatta's figure very clearly in the overview trailer. I'd rather see the last bowslinger and swashbuckler.

The Tech Bowslinger will be the Yawn Trap/Thrillipede of imaginators.

I'm still betting that's gonna end up being Pain-yatta, just to spite me.

Honestly the only characters I really like aren't wave 1 are Bad Juju, Water Quickshot, Painyatta and Blaster-tron
