I have to say that it makes sense for Grave Clobber to be a Brawler. I mean, he IS a giant, super huge mummy with stone fists, and his knuckles WERE a weapon for Brawlers...

He's probably Brawler, which s incredibly stupid, but I still hope he'll somehow end up being a Bazooker.

Yeah, I'm starting to believe Blaster-Tron is a Knight and Grave Clobber being a Brawler. But I have to admit that it messes up the entire element plan for Portal Masters who want to collect their main group.

The stuff on his base still gives me hope it's something else, or at least really weird Brawler gameplay.

By tomorrow, the users will be "well I saw ONLY GC and his empty fists, how could he not be Brawler" because I counted exactly one person actually commenting on that other than me.

I guess having 2 battle classes in the same element doesn't matter anymore.

As a blaster tron fan I hope not knight is better

Yeah, but two water brawlers, even worse two with ice powers. We get having similar characters across two games but together is, eeehhh...

Still holding out hope he has rocket hands and that's a splash of water. Heck, it'd be another time for TFB's probably-hallucinogen-induced choices to work its magic and have him as a Bazooker or Quickshot, filling either class(even at the cost of a double on Water again)

With the Blast Sword a thing, I'm confident that he'll be a Knight.

Wait...What if we aren't getting a Brawler villain and instead we are getting two villains for one class? I wouldn't really like it, but it's a way to not have Grave Clobber as a Brawler. But then again, we have been seeing Grave Clobber's knuckles as a Brawler item for a while now, so we should have this coming. I guess those knuckles hinted at Grave Clobber like that sword hinted as Blaster-Tron.

There may not even be a Villain Brawler.

But if Grave Clobber is a Brawler, and Blaster-Tron is a Knight, at least that makes it possible to have an all-class all-element team consisting of just the Starter Pack figures, plus all returning* Villains except GC.

(*: Cortex isn't a returning Villain, rather a Guest Villain)

If we can consider there being two Water Brawlers then we can consider two villain Bazookers.

I actually am probably most excited to try playing Kaos, because of how much he has he looks really fun to play.

Though I will miss his elemental attacks from TT (even if noone used anything but his Undead and Magic powers).

I don't think it's a variant. Dark characters are sometimes iridescent in-game and look purple/green. Could also be an upgrade. It looks way too similar to be a variant.

Also, yes, that version of Starcast beit upgrade or not looks hella fine. The pearlized green really works for him.

Looking at the other screenshots, the monster design this year seems really good. I absolutely love the dog-roaches i don't want to hurt them

Man this is crazy. See for me this is kind of a deal breaker (if non-resettable crystals are indeed a thing). Given that no peripheral gimmick has carried forward, why should we be expected to shell out so much money for so many crystals if they won't be usable in the future (again this is based on previous experience with peripheral gimmicks)? I honestly don't know what they're thinking at this point. With D.I. gone they seem to be determined to scare everyone over to Lego if they don't want to be bled dry. Man I hope none of this is the case but if it is the Starter is it for me. The only thing that would bring me back is if Imaginators had Swap Force's amount of end game content...but let's face it, no one's holding their breath for that.

Hey guys! Know what I just realized? Realizing you hate a battle class after picking it is no different from realizing you hate a Skylander after buying it... Since you're still able to switch upgrade paths and all... Why should you expect it to be resettable/refundable?
When you reset any Skylander, be they, Cores, Giants, SWAP Force, Trap Team, Supercharger, [or even... -gasp- an Elite?!], you can't change its base moveset, so why should it be any different for an Imaginator?

Coz the whole premises or creating a skylander in imaginators is creating a skylander you actually like lol.

How is this going to work if people get a crystal, get stuck with something they don't like, take it back and the next person to purchase already has the choice made for them...seems problematic to me. I just don't like the thought of being stuck with a class I might not like and have no way of playing to see if I like before I make a permanent decision. This seems even stranger for a game pitching "choice".

For me, the main problem is the fact that it's permanently altering a figure after purchase based on a decision we made. I hate this idea as a matter of principle. They can set whatever restrictions they want in the base game (for instance, I personally never had a problem with things like Traptanium gates or the need to have a vehicle on the base), but setting new permanent restrictions AFTER I've started playing is just unacceptable. It ruins Creation Crystals as a collectable item (or at least it will if we never get a good third party editor), and as a collector that's the most important thing to me.

Resetting is so you can switch paths, letting you play as it in packaging is because putting a stopper would cut into their profit margin without really changing much.
Cuz, you know, most of the players are kids who open their toys BEFORE trying them out and so can't return them.
I'm pretty sure it's not intended design to allow you to return it after testing it out.
It's still a choice if you can't take it back, isn't it? Not being able to take back a decision only adds weight to that decision. A game advertising choices ought to give them importance, don't you think?
If the choices I make can all be reversed, then that cheapens them.

Naturally, I don't think they expected people to create things spontaneously, but rather get an idea formed in their head beforehand, I mean, look at all the fanmail drawings they turned into Imaginators!
Those scribbles were put on to paper AFTER they were put into thought, not WHILE they were.
You can tell by how most of them are symmetrical that the kids drawing them started drawing them AFTER they were fully formed...
I don't think it's pitching "choice" so much as it is pitching "bring your ideas to life!"

For me I am just happy to have the chance to make skylanders. I always envisioned ten crystals for ten battle classes so it doesn't bother me at all.
