Ninja class imaginators were able to be made at gamescom so we should see some good ninja making videos soon once all the event goers get back to their computers lol.
Found in a German ( maybe ? Lol ) video . Not worth posting the vid coz they skipped most of the actual creation process with people talking lol . Literally this was the only good pic I could get.
Full bodied ninjas arnt looking likely at this point still, , but I didn't get to see the starting body screen. I can say that when the legs were made pretty long that it stopped looking so silly and started to resemble a real character.. The size of the legs and character tallness are pretty important for this class if the body less charscter style you've seen so far didn't appeal to you .
E.g. Long legs help

IMO creating only bodyless ninjas would be a huuuuuge mistake in limiting our Imaginations, really hope Acti doesnt do this.
On a related note, really hope we're not limited to just creating hovering Sorcerers either.

Can anyone provide me with a valid reason as to why they made ninjas bodiless? I just don't see what it has to do with ninjas. They are supposed to be stealthy warriors, not stubby walking heads.

There are none, just like Sorcerers being unable to touch the ground(literally - their defeat animation has the character let go of the staff and attempt to lay down but they just stay there). Only Swashbuckler has an excuse since it used to be the Djinni class.

I honestly like the way sorcerers float. It fits them a lot and differentiates them from sentinels, who also have similar staffs. Swashbucklers are harder to see but I can also understand that decision to an extent since it differentiates them from Knights. Ninjas though... why? Really, why?

It actually would have made a LOT more sense to have Quickshots be walking heads, considering who they're inspired by.

It's not just floating, their legs also have limited size. If you increase everything in regular characters, you get a big boy, but as a Sorcerer, it's the most disgusting looking top heavy character.

The design is mainly based on Lob-Star and other popular bodiless characters like Pop Fizz, Trigger Happy, Food Fight. I think the reason for that choice is to have a class stand out with a different overall body shape, but having the choice to have a body or not with all classes would have required a lot more animations put in the game.

I think they made ninja's body less because they didn't end up that different from quick shots.
I have a feeling their primary attacks werent very different in the end ( both 2 handed projectiles, with a fast attack speed ) , so they wanted to make one one them look different. And the reason why we started out with both quick shot and ninjas with bodiless characters in the early previews was coz they were trailing which classes other abilities worked better/ less bad with a reduced body. I think they should've kept all classes body types the same or made them all completely different if they wanted to differentiate them. E.g. make a 4 arm class Make a beast class Make 1 a centaur class But really the best option would've had them all able to have a regular body, then also a secondary type body option that was specific to their class .

I think there's always one character that represents the Class better than even a Sensei.
Knight: Chop Chop Swashbuckler: Ninjini Sorcerer: Enigma? Brawler: Terrafin Quickshot: Ninja: Stealth Elf : : Is Stealth Elf a walking head? NO! |

Sorcerer is Double Trouble I think. Floats, is a big bigger on the arms than the rest(though that's hidden by the skirt), and one of the secret techniques is based on his magic bomb.

Double troubles primary attack is also one of the sorcerer primary attacks as well
He definately is the representative of the sorcery class And what's crazy is that you can basically recreate him because his mask is a head piece.

The bad part is that the staff will constantly clip through it once you make it big enough, as seen with Gamespot's video.

The ninja class isn't based off the actual tactics of real-world ninjas. It's based off the weapon- the throwing stars. they probably called in the "Ninja" class because "oh ninja stars" and called it a day.
The class' model and design is very likely based off of Lob-Star. His short (torsoless) body and throwing stars are what indicates this. |

Some of the heads will work fine as ninja's anyway. E,g. Any bird head or robot head
Just the human heads are the bad ones that I've seen. Also my plan is to use this new mushroom one to make something like mushroomon.

Ninja class is probably my least favourite. However, I get how people are angry at not having the torso option...is weird and a terrible decision.
The skylander without torso looks incredibly creepy. As for the sorcerers levitating animation I agree is cool. What I don't like is the fact you can never land. It would great if you could walk/hover at will.

no, but in the 3DS games she does throw kunai ( ninja throwing knives ).....plus, her series 3 figure is literally a NINJA. I can only think of 3 other Skylanders who could be considered ninja: Stink Bomb, Trap Shadow and Tuff Luck ( Tuff Luck is a bit of a stretch though... ). They all have torsos too... |
