Nah he's gonna be like Plankton from SpongeBob - he'll either use magic to turn himself into a giant monster or build a giant robot suit to fight you with.

Or, as what usually happens

He'll fuse with Kaos in some way and we'll get yet another weird Kaos form to fight.

I bet what will happen is:
Kaos, who might or might not be under mind control by the brain guy, will fight you first, and after you defeat him, he either mutates himself into a monster or sunmons a giant robot suit to defeat you by himself.

So...

Looks like Kaos doesn't have his main Portal Master powers, but instead is using the power of Mind Magic. I guess he's still defenseless?

Well, yeah.

The Darkness is still kinda destroyed. Kaos did state that he'd get back to evil once he got a new source of power, and Mind Magic ended up being what he got.
