I've seen many threads and sites saying you get a free Kaos figure when you preorder but it doesn't say which stores support this and will have the figure.

I have the best buy discount and was wondering if I pre-order from there will they have kaos?

But it sounds like all the major retailers will give him on preorder.

Well, that's a kick in the pants for anyone who has to wait until Christmas to get the game.

Actually, I read an article on SCL (and caught a video from Gamescon on FamilyGamerTV) that Kaos will be at all major retailers from Oct. 16-22 but you can only get him through pre-order for free. This applies to all starter packs. So I'll be getting 2 since I preordered the Crash SE and DE.

He will be available other than the pre-order so don't worry. I will not be paying 80 for skylanders on launch come Oct15th. Instead I will wait a month to get the game 50% off and snatch the Kaos figure whenever I can.

The Starter pack's with Kaos is now able to be preordered at gamestop.com as well as in store.

Welp... about the only reason I'd get Kaos is if he was free... Guess this settles it for me.

Forbes suggested that you may not be able to get him if you don't preorder...
But Forbes doesn't know and I don't think anyone is totally sure. But I think he'll eventually come out on his own.

Anyhow the ToysRus Preorder for Kaos is now up.. But where is that big TRU exclusive preorder box? I was hoping it'd include Tri-tip as well.

No preorder for amazon.com or bestbuy yet the two who will possibly give you 20%.... Amazon.com usually isn't late with this stuff...

wish i had a ps4. I got the dark edition pre-ordered from gamestop anyway unfortunatley instead of a kaos figure its kaos trophy but i could wait until kaos comes out

Toys R Us, Target and Gamestop have Kaos listed as a preorder bonus (all types, Dark/Crash/Regular) in the US. So far Best Buy and Amazon do not have it.

Amazon does list the Kaos Pre-Order Bonus now, albeit in a round-about way (check the image below in the lower right corner).

You can go all the way to the final step of checkout, but doesn't really indicate/show anything about the pre-order bonus of the FREE Kaos figure in the cart/details.

I preordered an Xbox One Dark Edition and a PS3 Crash Edition at Gamestop earlier and got confirmation of Kaos...just have to wonder now if I'll get 1 Kaos figure or 2

I poked them a couple times yesterday on this via email, I'm sure others did as well. They replied they didn't know, but to watch for updates. I'm willing to pre-order to get him, but want GCU to bring the price down.

EDIT: And just like that, I'm in! I was leery on the value of the Crash Pack until Cortex was added, and once Best Buy added Kaos coupled with GCU they got my pre-order for the PS4 Crash Edition.

It will almost certainly only be Amazon. There are often export restrictions and tariffs that have to be considered, most retailers do not want to mess with that stuff unless they operate internationally anyways - in which case they want you to use the local part of their business.

I'm surprised Target allows it - except to maybe Canada/North America.

Just got word back from Gamestop UK and they have confirmed to me that they are NOT going to be giving away the Kaos preorder.

So that means that it (at least in the UK) is going to be exclusive to certain (only Smyths so far who are charging extra for it) stores, and it shows that not every store is giving it away for preordering (at least in the UK).

For those that don't have Best Buy discount, Amazon will be a good alternative. Amazon has the Kaos pre-order bonus with 20% discount. I figure that will apply to all the Skylanders figures too. If TRU emulates previous years, it will have its B1G1 40-50% off discount. The B1G1-50% usually applied at midnight launch.

According to Gamestop's website, you can get Kaos when you preorder there, at least for the dark edition which is what I am getting. I haven't checked on the other editions.

Correct on all points. I made assumptions about Amazon. I'm not a member of the BB discount club, but I do have Amazon Prime. The TRU deal would mean you could get the figures at discount (B1G140%=20%), versus waiting for Amazon shipping, but price would have to be the same to max the discount.

My plan is to get Dark Edition from Gamestop and Crash Edition from Amazon. The best deal will determine where I buy the figures.

I'm trying to pre order from best buy now but the site says the free Kaos figure is unavailable for store pickup at the location? In order to finish my order I have to remove the free Kaos from the cart or have it shipped...did anyone get this to work for store pickup?

I just ordered mine in my country and the preorder pickup was only available at 2 random country stores In my state so I had to opt for it being shipped.


BTW for the Australian people, ebgames now has the Kaos figure up as a preorder bonus

Can anyone confirm if Amazon is offering Kaos with pre-order? I think my Prime discount will be better than the Best Buy GC deal.

They are offering him. It's on the right down below the box where you make choices and Add to Cart. A little yellow emblem that says "Pre-order Bonus" and details it. It should be the same, remember we pay tax on Amazon purchases now - they have a facility pretty close to the mall.

You can get the Kaos figure by pre-ordering via Target, TRU, possibly Gamestop, and Amazon.

It shouldn't be too hard to get Kaos by preordering, by the looks of things, and if it's anything like the Gear Shift early release, Kaos might not be hard to find anyways.

If you pre-ordered Kaos early yesterday and Best Buy, you need to cancel and re-order. Kaos should show up as a separate line item in your order (that will have to be shipped, at least for now). If you ordered earlier that will not happen, potentially causing issues when it comes out.

Can I get Kaos by pre-ordering the Wii U starter from Amazon? It shows for the Crash edition but not the Wii U version so I'm just asking.

i wonder if the kaos figure will be able to be bought separately after the game comes out?
